Default asking for an anime recommendation

    now that i've found it...

can anyone recommend to me a "normal" anime?

you know - something with ppl with NO special abilities.

it's not like i don't like animes in that genre, it's just i'm trying to "round" myself.

    thanks in advanced

What you're asking for is so freaking vague it's annoying...

Nana... unless an amazing singing voice is a "special ability".

    =D

I bet we'll see Gantz at some point too, although I don't know what that anime is like.

...I'm sorry, did you just say that Nana was shoujo?

...Yes it does, especially because Viz doesn't know what josei is. Note the use of "more mature shoujo titles" in the article. That's like calling Berserk "a more mature shounen series".

On the other hand, Manga-Updates knows what it's talking about.

(You also don't have to be a genius to know that a manga published in a magazine that publishes josei manga, but not shoujo, is a josei manga, not a shoujo manga.)

Normal as in no special abilities? Hmm.

Azumanga Daioh fits that bill. As does Kodomo no Omocha (aka Kodocha). Marmelade Boy. Aria. And, especially, Maria-sama ga Miteru, which is better than all of these.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.

Meh, I never read it ... I believed it was shoujo as its josei so I screwed up the age demographics a bit but not the gender demographics.

But away shoujo and josei are pretty much the only gender of anime were you are going to see people without "special powers" since its something both on then rarely use ... take "Nodame Cantabile" as a example were the only "special power" is Nodame skill at playing piano.

(P.S. according to Wikipedia CLAMP is wrong and Clamp should be used instead, also it seems Sumomo is Plum -I like to know the RETARDED that decided to literally translate her name- among other idiocies).

I'm sorry to contradict you Digital_Eon but Nana is published in cookie, a shoujo magazine (which technically makes Nana a shoujo manga...and yes, Wikipedia was right this time for a change).

EDIT: I searched a bit for Cookie's exact demographic (since I don't know much about shoujo manga) and according to this site this magazine is aimed at 14-18 year old girls...
