It might have already been mentioned, but in the induction meeting the speaker said that the Gantzers were "Vampire Hunters". It's odd, but Gantz himself has never sent them after any of the Vampires and the only Vampires that were killed, died because they tried to kill Izumi. Obviously the Vampires know more about the Gantzers than anyone knows about them. Someone said it earlier in the thread, but does this mean that there is a connection between the Vampires and the aliens? Could the nanomachines be of alien origin since the aliens have been living on Earth for a while apparently?

I still believe the government are behind this.

A coverup could be involved, that journalist met a source who knew about the vampires, and I doubt he's the only who knows. Someone within the police department must know something about the fact that so many young girls have been murdered, let alone all the unexplainable violence that has occured (unexplainable to anyone who doesn't know about Gantz I mean) and yet there doesn't seem to be any sort of investigation going on, neither has there been any sort of national emergency declared. And what happened to the bodies of all the aliens that have been killed? Most were invisible I guess, but the shapeshifting aliens and the shorty alien from Kurono's school as well as the boss oni alien weren't invisible, so there must have been bodies. And if autopsies were done on the bodies of the dead vampires, I doubt they came up as human. I might be overthinking things, but it merits some thought.
Or the government tends not to release those stuffs on public, which it might cause a public uproar.
That's true. I don't know how the government or law enforcement work in Japan so that might be the rule of thumb. Or it could be that Oku is keeping things cryptic for the moment.Originally Posted by ZeonMX

Anyway, on other issues brought about hither and thither:
If vampires could just turn anyone into one of them, one would think they would have done that to Izumi. He had the atributes, all that inteligent and strong crap.
It's interesting noticing the female vampires do seem to be low in numbers - we've seen what, two? And also, given the "requirements" for one to become a vampire, it's strange that the girl Akira brought would just be turned out of the blue. I mean, if the vampires could infect and turn whomever they want... why wouldn't they have spies on the Gantz team?
Or course, these are questions that only apply if we assume Oku put some thought on that before actually pouring them in the story.
And of course, there're also the latest posts on the memory thread.
off-topic: I don't know if reviving this was a good idea, so if it wasn't, I apologize.
