Hmm... that's a pretty interesting theory. I'm just wondering how many vampires there are. I mean, is it just that small group, or is there a whole hidden vampire-nation?Originally Posted by redsliver

Not sure if anyone else pointed this out but they're not just males. I recall when Akira was first taken to the lecture about nanomachines and Gantzers by a woman. I don't remember if there were females in the room but i recall that much.Originally Posted by tetnubis

Ah yes, your right! Its the girl that asks him if he want to go into the place where they had a meeting, weird how there hasnt been any female vampires since. Also in the recent chapters, why was there no exzema (wings) on the backs of any of the vampires that were fighting in the club?
I was thinking that they only get it when they have been without blood for a while, but it wasnt mentioned in the meeting, it only talks about the headaches.
Its chapter 163 for those that need a quick reference.

I think there might be some signifigance to the fact that Vampires are shown as almost exclusively male. There might be another faction of cybernetically enhanced females similar to the vampires yet to be revealed. There should at least be an explantion coming as to why so far all vampires have been male.
all i can tell you is that theres a "bigger picture" to this manga
Because, you know, the first four chapters weren't enough to establish that.

I wonder why they were talking about nanomachines at the vampires meating.
Well, it seemed to be an induction meeting, and apparently vampires are vampires due to the nanomachines.
Yes, apparently the vampires have been around for years, possibly hundreds of years. The nanomachines enter the human body and eliminate any weaknesses. I don't think they've ever mentioned exactly how long they've been around. I am pretty sure that they were either created by the same forces that made Gantz or were made by Gantz himself, since they could see the Gantzers and aliens even before the rules went out the window and have apparently been fighting the Gantzers for years.
I don't think its been mentioned how one becomes a vampire either. I mean, they never bite people, just cut them up and drink their blood. Maybe people are just born with the nanomachines in their blood, and their power manifests when they are older. Or maybe just being near a vampire does it.
