what nishi and izumi said reminds me of the olympics. each country only gets one team per event so it's probably one team. the bigger countries would still have the advantage because they would have more possible good players than a country like japan.
But you have to remember that Gantzes do not pick people based on their strength, so it's not like you have to select the strongest 10 out of 10 millions or the strongest 10 out of 1 billion. First of all, the first qualification is death which excludes many living strong people. Second of all, out of these dead people, Gantz can only call so many people at once for a mission. My guess of the limit is the number of suits can be stored inside the ball. Lastly, there is no pattern in who gets chosen except that the deaths are unnatural, even a dog and a panda got chosen. Definitely not a pattern someone use to choose the strongest players to form a team.

I am also tempted to say that Gantz let the strongest players go (they are likely to survive to get 100 points and get out), but that might just be an incentive to survive missions. They may be called back later on just like Izumi. So whether the current team is strong or not may have nothing to do with the final battle.

I think, just like U.S representatives, it depends on population. Either based on alien population or human. Remember that the gantzers go all over Japan so i'm thinking that the gantz room has to be in a major city e.i. Tokyo, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, etc. America has to cover sides of two different oceans so there is probably at least 10 teams there. I'm thinking that at the final battle it will be like an All-Star game where only the best from every country/region fight with whatever is the ultimate final battle.

My guess is he's talking of temporal separation—that is to say, "how's this team" as opposed to "how was the team from six months ago", or "how was the team from back when we were fighting together". If he would refer to anything as "our team", it would probably be that last one.

Maybe the others did just die, but what I think is that they were teleported in other cities.
My take? They just didn't get revived.

I hope itīs gotta gets like battle royal, just with teams, all against all, looking whos the last team/man standing. Kinda like the anime ending. I know most of you didnīt like it. But I found it great (but still not as good as the missions).

It's possible. The two main possibilities I see are that the Gantz teams will come into conflict (which in my opinion is contraindicated by the fact that Nishi and Izumi think it's possible to change teams) or that some big alien fight, whether it be a full-scale invasion or tournament-style "final boss", will occur.

It would be interesting if the Vampire nanites were created by the CIA to help inhibit other countries…

where did you get this "fact"? they never said that or even implied it.

The average american is stronger than the average japanese. its the genetically altered food , among other things. so america would still have an advantage over japan.

True, but the suit and the guns are the equalizers, so physical strength is not an automatic advantage. But, OTOH, many Americans are gun owners so probably they are more used to and have better skills in using them.

Or you get players who are overweight due to the fast food culture.
In terms of strengths, probably teams from countries with mandatory military service, like Israel, are stronger.

This is unrelated, but speaking about weapons got me thinking. Gantz in Japan provides katanas to complement guns. What does Gantz in the US or Germany provide? Rapiers? Claymores?
