Gantz and battle royal

Ok I' can say I'm a big gantz fan But I heard of this other anime called batlle royal. they said it was like gantz in a school or something? can someone help me out and explain the similarities of these shows because I'm getting nothing on google.

Urgh, been a while since ive seen such a stupid post. (reason being that a thread answering this question was made not to long ago.)

Anyway, where is your source about battle royale being an anime? i has two movies (live action) and 2 mangas. The similarities are that people, be they kids or adults, are picked against their will to fight. Differences are nobody, be you canine or human is exempt from entering gantz, unlike in BR where it is only high school kids.

Also in gantz, they hunt aliens...whilst in BR they once again hunt eachother, or other students as in BR 2.

It's called Battle Royale. It's a manga, a book, and a movie. The book is the best version. There is no anime. It is very different from Gantz, but much better. It is about a class of 9th graders who are abducted by the government, given weapons, and forced to kill each other.

The way the characters are introduced very similar in both mangas.

And Battle Royale has no anime... but, as Tetnubis said, there are two movies

I think whoever made this thread is either not good at research or is messing with us.

Nah, he was just confused (And not good at research). When I first read the manga of BR my first impulse was to search for the anime. I was very disappointed when I found out that there wasn't any. Well, I kept searching and I found the movies and the book. That's why I kind of understand bebop77, because the first thing that you do after reading or to hear about a good manga, is to search for the anime. So, don't flame him... It was an honest mistake

Br is cool..but i think is very different from gantz...in BR they hunt other students and in gantz they hunt alien ;D

Regardless, both mangas rock.

I was tweakin sorry............ But from what you guys say it would make a bad ass anime though.

Battle Royale would make a good MMORPG, like gantz. Ammo runs out in BR so sooner or later there is player turnover or the lead player would have to pick up new maybe less powerful weapons.

In Gantz people will die. You could make them play as aliens too. Ad maybe have a training mode.
