Thread: Gantz and battle royal

I don't think battle royale and gantz are all that similar story wise, but if you like one, you'll like the other. They are both very dark and intense, and have high quality sophisticated art styles. The authors aren't afraid to kill anyone off, so all the characters are pretty much fair game to die. But both of them are absolutely awesome.

I think both stories are alot like steven king's Running Man

Gantz and Battle Royal have different stories, only tiny things are a like. Like the bombs on they're body means intant death if you break the rules ( gantz: talking to some one about the hunts your head blows up. BR: if you go in to a danger zone or fail to kill you're class mates in the hours given, it blows out your thoart.) Also there is the time limit and area's you have to say in, and of course the killing. Thats about it.

What is the Running Man about? Sound's interesting.

The running man was originally a story by steven king written onder his pen name and was addapted into a movie staring arnold swortsinager. The running man is a a tv game show were they take prisoners and they have to try and fight people who tring to kill them who have different themes. the the priseners in the story have to work together and try and find a way out of the arena. the prisoners wined up killing the enemies who are supposed to win. all for human enjoyment. if you don't feel like reading watch the movie it's the same idea.

Gantz also has sort of a River World thing to it

Gantz and Battle Royale are completely different. The main characters are different (Kurono and Shuya?!!... come on!!. Kurono was an asshole and Shuiya was a saint). The only similarity is that any main character is expendable, and obviously the high amount of deaths.
