So what do you think about Oku`s new drawing style? In his last chapters, he began to get a new style. I think he´s doing anythink with a 3d graphic programm now. I don´t really like it. It´s doesn´t look better, the persons look different on each picture (especially Balty). And it´s not like the original Gantz atmosphere anymore (hard to explane). Ferthermore you can´t see any details anymore. And Nishi looks like a friendly student now, not like a psycho anymore.

You know, I did feel that something was different or 'off'. At the time I thought it was just me overthinking it. Did he really switch drawing styles though? Maybe he just made some slight change to the way he draws characters and we're noticing it because it stands out to us.

He's been gathering new assistants who is good in 3D graphic and illustration.

I do a lot of those 3d graphics and you still have to rough out your drawings with a pen and paper before you build them-- I'm actually attempting to develop my own style in that regard-- You can see one I was working on in the post your artwork thread.
In my opinion pure renderings need to be "humanized" Oku does a nice job by adding handdrawings of the figures. I've been attempting to do it through layering of handdrawings and renderings. If anyone is interested in trying something similar to what Oku does download a trial of Sketchup. The platform is so user friendly-- On second thought looking at the drawings this is probably the program he's using-- along with illustrator and photoshop. Here is an example of something I was working on half a year ago. This was done using sketchup, ink art and photoshop.

My English is not the best, but know I found out how to explane.
I wrote: Ferthermore you canīt see any details anymore. What I mean is, the background seems liquid. After Iīve seen Tetnubis`post (http://www.stoptazmo.com/showthread.php?t=9667&page=3) I think it might be the quality of the scanlations ,not Oku`s fault. I havenīt seen other versions yet, only those with advertisment for anifriends on the first page, so I might be right.
