i think he means the editing job of the past ones where its blurry and hurts your eyes.
![]() notice the blurryness, and even the japanese on the right side, proves it is a crap editing job. cant even read the kanji. while indeed, oku's style has changed over the course of the manga as does every mangaka's style, thats not what this is. its something you notice if you just look at a beginning chapter and then a much later chapter (aka nishi, having died earlier and coming back later after oku's style changed) but it is not something noticed suddenly.

The thread isnt being hijacked, its just developed, and the things mentioned in the other thread just happen to be relevant.
Just have to wait for Lou Zi Faah's reply.

Tetsumaru is right. The picture Tetsumaru posted is a good example. The whole picture is blurry, like liquid. I didn´t know if it "got liquid", when Oku changed his style (=because of the better 3d effect). But now I see, that´s the scanlations fault: Everything got more plastic, because Oku changed the style. So the quality of the scanlations should be better too. But it isn´t (look at the arm of the right man). So it hurts your eyes. That wouldn´t be a problem if it was an easy drawing style, where is not much too see. But Oku´s draw got more complicated, so you need better scanlations. Hope you understand.

It's weird, I don't think he has changed his entire drawing style, he just changed the way he drew some designs, but the others are still the same...
For example, Nishi seems a bit different, but Katou is the same, and they both returned recently.

I am fortunate in working for a group with high quality raw scanned from tankoubon, but not all raws are great. If you want to see bad ones, check out Mahou Sensei Negima's later chapters. You will see that not all areas that are supposed to be black are black (blotches of white) and some of the tones are not uniform with lots of black dots because of the low printing quality and the low paper quality. Good raw cleaners take time in adjusting the levels, contrast, blocking the flaws and redrawing some parts. The quick and dirty method is to use filters and as the result, you get blurred images. |

sometimes, manga author let other people do the drawing for the anime, since they don't have time to do both drawings. |

when i first saw 229 i chalked up the differences to scanlation method, but now that it's been mentioned nishi really doesn't look as tough as he used to, and that's kinda a stretch to attribute to scanlators. he's my favorite character, so maybe i was too happy to see him revived to notice
