chap229 (Dude where's my powerful weapon)

This is hardly a topic but my frustration how the story turns out..before kei got freed ,izumi ask for powerful weapon and im looking forward to see some in action but then kei got freed and we didnt see anymore mission but then in chp229 izumi said the team performance was not that great and the powerful weapon was not powerful enough ...damn and non we got to see

Izumi has not seen his powerful weapon yet... They have not been to the Gantz room since last battle, so its impossible that he saw it. And what Izumi is saying is that they need powerful weapons or they are screwed, because he thinks that the team is useless. He is not saying that the weapon is not powerful enough (he didnt even actually SEE the weapon!) Maybe you read a different translation, or you got it wrong. I dunno. Refer to Hissho's translation, its very good.

Since the last few chapters have only been about Kei and not the Gantz team, it'd be safer to say that we don't know if Izumi's gotten his new weapon or not. When he talks the other guy, Nishi they talk about the other Gantz teams in other countries. So either they've been doing a lot of research or know this from missions. Izumi says that the team is weak now too, probably because new members don't know what the heck they are doing. That's what I think.

So Kurono made a wise choise when it came to revive Nishi, cuz as we can see, nishi knows more than any1 else on the room.

Some thing I really want to see, more than Izumi's powerfull weapon, is how Kato's life been going on, how much time has passed since the Budda Mission Arc?, how do his little brother has made it out, since that mission, Katos little brother has been missing from the plot

Chuck norris would just waste everything and bring the manga to an end after 2 pages. So the gantz creator wouldnt do that, oh wait thats the lazy thing to do, yes he would definetly do that

I don't really understand the conversation between Nishi and Izumi-- It's like Izumi has regained his memory from when he was working with Nishi. I just don't quite get it.

yeah this is the same translation i read as in Jhincuuriki. well at first glance its easy to have thought what i think before. Now i understand that maybe Izumi was talking about team practice (new team member?) or referring to the team performance in the oni mission. But we must remember Izumi allready know they are gonna get a more powerfull weapon after the oni mission (given if they have'nt go to any mission after the last one we saw) then if so why is he in doubt? wouldnt his word would be like *if the powerful weapon aren't better...we're screwd* or something like that.

another one is the fact that izumi know the existance of other Gantz around the world ,realizing a powerful treat exist and discussing it with nishi like they have been discussing it before at some meeting ...how does he know this? his recalling his memory (cause the vamp boss know Izumi face chp 159 while Izumi have no ide) or does Nishi or Gantz tell him...so the posibility of Gantz told them after the oni mission scoring or on the next mission that may trigger Izumi memory or other possible scenario...

Like what Takasama said there is/are things happens behind the scene when we only see Kurano life.. so the fact that there is no mission since the last battle is not quite true ..or either false in other case ...we just dont know

this is what so great about gantz there lots of mystery going around, im really getting excited about the next chp

Alright, we'll I'm going to run under the pretense that a few significant events have occurred since Kurono has left Gantz. I do believe this is what the conversation between Izumi and Nishi is hinting at... Hopefully, it'll be explained soon-- I really hate guessing when it comes to Gantz cuz Oku story is so incredibly unpredictable.
