Alright... I noticed this the moment I saw the Baseball episode for SC.
If any of you have seen both anime versions of these series you probably noticed it as well. In the Gantz anime, everytime a Gantzer died they would show the Gantz ball, fade it to black and white and play a high pitched "ting" sound. Samurai Champloo baseball episode they did the exact same thing except they would just pan in, create a frame, BnW it and do the ting sound. Funniest episode in Samurai Champloo imo. Great stuff. Anyone else notice? |

Actually that chime is from a bowl that is usually kept at a shrine for the dead and struck when praying to the desceased. It really has nothing to do with gantz at all, just japanese culture. They use it as a comical way in Shamploo.
