Thread: why do you like Gantz?

What's that make you all crazy about Gantz?

e.g. the way the author pictures kurono's life (where he realized that he has someone to life for, care for, just as much as the other person would do for him) is similar to todays youngster experience, we all long for someone else (besides our parents of course) that care for us (clamoring for attention).

your example sucks, Kurono's life does not resembles of any of todays teenagers.


I like gantz because it is gruesome and the story is very well made and kept, and secretive.

Everyone has his/her opinion about things differently,
anyway the point is, your reply has to be specific! and try not to be so cliche...got it?

Gantz is an original idea. Making it gruesome and having extreme situations takes it to a whole 'nother level. When I first started reading it I was like, "why did that person have to die? they were pretty cool" it made me kind of upset, but that kind of of thing makes Gantz a "what's next?" and not predictable storyline.

Besides Kurono, to see what happened to the other characters before becoming Gantzers can be pretty intense and shocking to people who ignore how bad the world can be. The author isn't afraid to make people stir.

anyway, i like the story, a lot..plot developes in nice way

it is something new.. the plot is unique with great action secquence.. nice characters and good story lines

First it was because of the art, usually I only read mangas with real-art (The character design have to be real, and very similar to the human form). I hate unreal designs, big eyes, noisy voices, etc (Naruto is the only exception). Then, I fell in love with the plot, and the personality of some of the main characters, even if they died soon. The characters that become important in some part of the manga, are very human, and the complexity of their lives made me think about my own life sometimes.

In summary

Good plot + Good art

Excellent art, original idea, the way Oku introduces the characters, lots of deaths and a very good plot.
