Thread: Is Kurono a jerk again?

I was wondering what happens to someone when you erase all their memories for a period of time. Since he has no recollection of the experiences that shaped him into a caring and thoughtful individual, did he regress back to vol 1 when he was standing there on the train platform in chap 226? I really wanna know if he just totally screwed over the old guy.

Considering they made it a point to indicate what he was doing at the beginning, the reasonable conclusion is "no".

Beyond that, it's likely that the Old Man knew where he was going and just wanted an excuse to talk to Kurono.

It's weird but I think... no. Compare between the answer he gave to the old man when asked Kurono for directions, and the answer he gave to the old woman long time ago.
He's not the same asshole, maybe unconsciously the changes of personality during gantz still last.

Yes, because he was acting weird when he woke up. He was acting like a care-free jerk that he started out as. I don't remember what else he was doing (it's been a while lol).

I think it does get reverted to the way it was, but not completely. The reason I think that this is the case is because of two things.
For the complete reversal - after he had his memory wiped, his classmates tell him that he doesn't seem to have the same edge he had to him a few days prior.
The second thing is they still have some minor amount of memories that govern their actions - Tae for example, keep son wanting to be close to Kurono and seems to be genuinely in love with him even though she doesn't even know his name before her mom told her who Kurono is.

So yeah, they get reverted back to the way their personality was, but not completely.

It's definitely been left very hazy by his responses. He seems to have somewhat regressed but not completely.

hmm, not all of his memory is wiped right?
only the stuff to do with Gantz and tae.

so he has all the other memories.
hmm, but it was the gantz experience that made him a better person? so wouldn't that mean he's back to being his normal self?
but i guess we'll have to keep reading to find out :P

Hmm however if Gantz did try to wipe out his mind, shouldn't Kurono be wondering what happened to his original classmates on the next day of school? IF not, shouldn't there be some sort of memeoriable in school hanging about showing whoever that died??

On a side note, it's moronic how everyone stands and look when something is OBVIOUSLY wrong.... for many minutes long. Now, if I see someone taking out a gun I would run like hell or hide somewhere, not stand there LOOKING at the gun wondering if it is real. GEEEEeeeeez...

And ever before that the only really assholish thing he did was his comment of the mass death report on the tv about the last mission. honestly the only real reason people are saying he's an asshole is because gantz wipes memories and they assume that the way you are is a memory, not a feeling. When it comes down to it its the same reason he still loves tae, because his feelings remained. Once he saw tae he didn't say anything bad again, and if he did it was on a very minor scale.

The human psyche is effected by experiences, but even in cases of amnesia in which someone loses his memories from only a certain point in time, say a few months or years maybe, his general personallity remains even though he doesn't remember those years, or if he doesn't remember anything at all.
