After seeing his response to the old man at train station. I think he's not the old jackass anymore.
But thinking of how he thought of Tae as Stalker for the first time, it irritates me. Meh.

HA. The reason why those people wanted to revive others is because of Kurono. They deligently WANTED to save the people that Kurono was planning to stay and revive in the first place. Why else would country side general and the old man asked "who else you wanted to save?". They were touched by how HARD he's willing to vanquish the lightning demon. When everyone was unable to battle, he and Izumi still went and fought when their suits gave out.Originally Posted by Denisse
You should also note that in the manga, Kurono stated he wanted to remodel himself after Katou. He is trying to save people and therefor he have a great heart. Dude, in Katou's position do you honestly believe he will rather save a total stranger than some one he already met, or loved, or cared for? He, of course will save someone he cares for. Wouldn't you do the same? If someone cares for another and is willingly to risk their lives just to get a couple of 100's of pts, that's probably around 20 or so battles, jsut to revive them from the dead... jeez that's a person with a good heart.
And like... whoever that posted that Kurono didn't think Izumi would actually go and muder a bunch of people, I totally agree. During that incident, country side General wanted to test out his strength by trying to stop someone that's weilding guns. He just happens to be there at the wrong... right moment. The
two Esp's (what the hell does that stands for??? I only know it referrs to who have psychic powers) went and fought with Denis Rodman, so one of them can save the chick while the other went b/c the other dude pleaded him to.
Also, there's a possibility that Kurono might had thought, he might be killed by Gantz if he went against his (Gantz) orders for Izumi to recruit a bunch of strong dudes. If you are going to counter that with, Kurono had chance to kill Izumi before the massacre, then at that point 1) Kurono didn't believe Izumi will go through the ordeal 2) He don't want to kill a friend (at that point still considered him as a friend 3) He's too stunned by Izumi's thoughts/plans whatever.
lol.The muscle rider, and the psychics fought for save people's lives... but Kurono was just interested in Tae.
The author is trying to show the readers, Kurono's source strength.
The reason why Izumi rebounded from his shock ( last battle) is b/c he wanted to outshine Kurono. Muscle rider's strenght, comes from his love of fighting someone strong, especially someone who uses unconventional means ,i.e guns. And blah blah blah...
When reading or viewing a show, it's best do it by picturing being that person, in other words, "being in his shoes". That's the only way to understand fully, the way things the author is trying to convey.
You can love Kurono with all your heart. But you are kind of blind. Kurono is not a saint, Kurono KNEW that Izumi was going to kill a lot of people and didn't care (Read the chapter again). Don't do vain hypothesis. Kurono is a really good fighter, and care about his people. But, nothing more. He enjoys massacres when the people he cares are not involved.
First, you state that Katou is a good leader over Kurono when the obvious is Kurono is a better leader than Katou, then you state Kurono is a bad person even though he's willing to stay and save others, and now you are saying I am blind and I think Kurono is a saint??? Geez
I never said Kurono is a saint. I am only proving your statments is wrong. If anything, I would only agree that Kurono should be, at least, as good as Katou in personality wise, leadership, and other crap.
Kurono's character is a rapidly evolving one. You keep on referring to what he HAD done although currently he's changed man.
I'm an open minded person and only listens to facts. Don't try and say my reasonings are wrong when you can't give good credentials to back up your assumptions from the manga.

---> I'm only saying, based on the way Kurono's character is. Also, there's no way of thinking, Gantz wouldn't blow up Kurono's head if he kill's Izumi. Another thing, when Izumi is fighting with the vampires(when vamps tries to take down Izumi) and ended up fighting the last one, one on one. He clearly stated, he must finish the battle before anyone sees him or else risk being killed by Gantz due to Gantz exposure. So in effect, it's likely the author didn't want Kurono to die if he went (exposure) and and try to stop Izumi from the massacre. Not to mention it's the author's will, for Izumi to have the mini Gantz ball telling him to kill. Now why would the author wanted Kurono to stop that from happening? No no no forget what I said. It's more like how will Kurono stop Izumi since he's reluctant to KILL PEOPLE???. Please don't say Kurono can stop Izumi when, clearly there's no way unless Izumi is killed. IT was even stated in the manga that If Kurono won't kill Izumi in the school, then he will regret it. And we know where that led.And like... whoever that posted that Kurono didn't think Izumi would actually go and muder a bunch of people, I totally agree. Wow I wrote a hell lot of crap....
Hey this is fun. Plz continue with your attack.
I also think that Kurono became a better leader than Katou.
1) He did put himself on the line to protect others, just read the dinosaurs mission again....and WITHOUT a suit, he lured those T-rex AND the boss. If you say he was only trying to get the points, wrong!, He wasnt always thinking about the points, when he lured the boss he thought he had just to run away, THEN he remembered he needed the 15 points. On the missions that pedestrians got in the way, he himself said it, what they could do? them surviving was already hard, he wasnt like "bah, **** it, DIE!".And before the mission, he said to the ones that were still in the room to put their suits on...he would have told everyone if Izumi hadn't kicked his ass xD
2) He didnt kill Izumi in the school because he still wasnt (he still isn't) okay with killing humans. Thats my point of view. Then, he didnt kill him on the streets...first..because he didnt see him...second...he was looking for tae...and even if he saw him, he wouldnt have killed him because of fear of being killed by Gantz. He did killed him in the building, because they were alone, and because he didnt had a choice...it was killing him or getting Tae and himself killed. Remember that when he killed that guy during the Tae mission, it was an accident and was like "OMG! i killed a human being!". Muscle Rider fought him, im almost sure, just like everybody else, to prove himself stronger even against guns. The ESP (it stands for Extra Sensorial Powers...right?) went because, the kid for atonement for the guys he killed and the girl, the master to help the kid who i think he already thought of him as a very good friend. That Tae had to be in the line to trigger him to go is selfish? maybe, but who doesn't put the lives of their dearest first than everybody else? besides, that proves just how much he didnt wanted to kill a human being.
3) He wasn't a loner, he taught everybody how to use everything, he trained them, he cared for them. In the Dinosaur missions, and the Oni Mission thats quite obvious. If it wasnt for him, not a single soul had survived that long. If you say that they survived mostly because he is such a good fighter, that isnt true, everybody had to hold their own ground during the Oni mission.
Like I said in another thread, i think that Katou is actually the one who will have problems to fit in the group. BTW, i dont think Katou sucks, actually Kurono became such a good leader because he looked up to Katou. But unless Katou trains himself real good, he wont be a better leader. In the end, a good leader must be also the better fighter, so to be able to protect his group and teach them.
In the end...i think the story is precisely about kurono personal growth. Or what do u think Katou would have done on Kurono position? he couldnt even shoot he damn onion alien for his own life, much less shoot izumi, maybe beat the crap out of him, but that wouldn't be enough to prevent the killing. And, sure, he would put his life on the line to save everyone else on the dino and oni mission, but without the skills, he would've died, and everybody else too. I just hope he start killing stuff soon, or else he will never leave Gantz xD
my 2 cents.![]()
