Grandchild- spoiled and cried if he didnt get what he wanted

grandmother- shes the one who spoiled the kid and in the anime i think she mentioned something to the mother about missing school the next day to stay at her house

the rappers- they sing about the bitches and hoes. and we all know rappers gangbang bitches and hoes and stuff like that.

thats my explanation. i agree with that the people who are choosen, are choosen becuase they have problems in thier lives.

old man and reika have already been explained. also since reika is famous she probably thinks shes higher then everyone (proven not true) also the buddhist priest was so into his religon that it brainwashed him. also everyone has some sort of sins or something wrong with them. no one is prefect. i dont really remeber any current chapters. in other words i dont remeber the dino mission. but i do understand what your getting at but why else would they be there?

Weren't they having problems? It didn't seem like their relations were that good. I'm pretty sure I remember the wife being pissed off at the husband quite a bit during the mission and how he didn't do anything for them or something like that.

I think you're just trying to mould the characters into your analogy...I don't think it's that in-depth at all. Sure it had changed Kei's life a lot because of the leadership roles and etc etc... But I think it's not really about teaching them about life, but rather teaching them how to survive...possibly for some war against vampires/aliens in the future?

kind of weird to compare problems in people's lives.....about everyone has a problem. so if in gantz the people were chozen because of problems then why isnt' everyone chozen when they die? a better reason for why people are chosen is because they got what it takes to be in gantz something like better instinct.

And what about the Dog and the Panda??

If that were true, why do you think Gantz would let them leave? Sure Izumi eventually returned, as Kei will most likely do the same. Now I could see Gantz advertizing "get a 100 points, and then you can leave!" but then never follow through. But then Gantz did follow through, twice, so how would letting his star soldiers go help prepare for the final war? Once again, the only thing I can think of is that by setting them free, it protects them from harm's way in an "army reserve" type manner. Well, I just answered my own contradiction....meh

man i still think that Gantz and Saw are different. I dont think Izumi valued life much after he left the first time, unless you call killing people at random as valuing life. besides, he got his memory wiped so how could he remember battling aliens?
