Hehe sorry,but it COULD happen,seeing Oku slacks often.So it is possible he calculated it in his shedule.

But I really can't see everything wrapped up in so little chapters,especially since Gantz is rather slow paced to begin with.
For now I firmly believe Oku will give us a ending that at least wrappes up the major bits (what Gantz is,the vampires etc.)if it really satisfies,I dunno

It could also be that he pulls himself together and hands out chapters like his ass is on fire,because he really does want to end it this year (though I doubt it ) Deadlines hardly ever come true as predicted anyway.

Personally I believe he will keep slacking and finish Gantz somewhere...mid 2007 maybe?

i think he is taking break for some reasons.

1st, to continue the series.
2nd, to end the series.
lastly, develop new manga

or he just needs a break, its boring at times drawing comics.

Do you really understand how much work it is to draw a manga? It's not a strange thing that he needs breaks. I know Oku has some helpful things like the slaves who make 3d models of all the characters and all that but every page should still be quite a lot of work. He's drawn 224 chapters, each consisting of 18 pages (correct me if I'm wrong here). That's 4032 pages of drawings. 4032 pages!
It should be rather boring at times too... drawing and drawing and drawing...

Sorry, but we have been suffering continous dissapointments, both in production and in storyline. As you previously claimed that you like romance, so be it, but we haven't even had that, the last three or four chapters could have been made into one.

Since he's taking so many breaks, maybe Gantz won't end this year.

fuck that. its his job. Most of us don't get long breaks from our jobs every couple of weeks, so fuck that. he needs to buckle down and do his fuckin job.

Yeah yeah, it was his prized race horse. The hell do I care. It was incredible, it was grotesque, and it was utterly unexpected. It's the feeling that was elicited rather than the actual methodology.

What do we do with Oku? Who knows. I've never read any interviews with him. I don't know what he treasures. I do however know brutal when I see it. Thus I describe something brutal, and hope there exists an equivalent for Oku.
