don\'t mess with me, or you will get it.
Only one with a reason to live?! Its called self-preservation, even if you did nothing your entire life you still want to live. Its not just Kaze or Cherry but anyone in Gantz wants to live even Nishi a guy who look down upon society wanted to live. Who ever makes those intros in the manga must not have been thinking.
Yes, I concur with Youkai Katana, all the Gantz members want to live because I mean come on who wants to die and become a useless heep of data, that is worse that death in my opinion, all alone in the deep void, nobody there to talk to or comfort you, the darknes creeps at you eating away at your already mangled soul.
The idea is he needs to live for his brother (hopefully he dies again soon tho, but lets continue). How can you say Cherry's reason to live is he wants to live?
Who else has to live to look after someone else? In this case i put it down to wording. If Cherry died would anyone else in the world suffer from it? Not that we know of.
Maybe the girl he met before the Shinjuku massacre. You know the one that told him not to kill. She might suffer a little.....maybe, probably not though.
What about Kaze, I doubt the small kids family will take him back. Reika.......her fans would miss her. Ina....no he can die and hopefully will. Old man...he owns a book store right? People suffer due to lack of manga? Cherry's mentor is going to die soon anyway. Yeah, there is not really anybody who has a someone who would care or suffer if they died.
On a side note wouldn't Gantz have healed Cherry's mentor condition when he teleported him into Gantz.
I also thought of this when i read that, maybe the whole idea that Gantz reboots from an old copy of the person is wrong? I wouldn't go as far to say that they have noone who would care, but as for suffer and maybe even someone dieing. No one else takes the cake.Originally Posted by Youkai Katana
My only guess as to that comment is that it's a reference to what Katou was "back in the day", as it was. It was what made him special during that time.

Failure: when your best just isn't good enough.
ina is not dying quick enough. where'd you find out old man owns a bood store? i never came across a chap where it mention something like that. i probably missed it. mind filling it in for me?Originally Posted by Youkai Katana
Sounds like he is getting confused with the anime, unless i also missed that? I do remember in the anime there was an old man who was the book keeper/seller.Originally Posted by thatthat
