Have you wondered from where the heck the mangaka get his ideas, i found a french site of gantz and got an answere, check this:

also theres stuff about the anime series and the game, the game doesnt seem so good as i tought, the conversations seems to be anime style.. and not so good as the anime..

I can't hate Inaba anymore. ;__: I don't like this but he looks kinda like Terry Bogard. I hope that he will turn to be just like Terry. (If you don't know who is Terry Bogard, he is one of the main characters in Fatal Fury series, and appears in King of Fighters as well.)

I took a (fast) look at those links, but well, they don't really clear anything up to me. It's information you already have access to once you watch the anime and read the manga (except the resemblance one, which we've already discussed about before). About the game, I don't really care about what people say of it. I just wanna put my hands on it once and for all.

I haven't played either games but I doubt that they share the same personality. If we had some fighter games characters (Dead or Alive for example) that would actually be pretty interesting for more than reason. They would probably kick lots of alien ass.

laugh at me, but i think it´s kinda shocking, to see, how some Gantz-characters are so close to the reality. you read the manga again and think: "omfg...this..nishi...there are people who are just like nishi, he could be real!!!" don´t ya think so, too?

I thought that the first time I read it.

Well, except they're generally not as cool. And tend to lack super-suits.
