    Default Gantz peak

Does anyone else feel that Gantz peaked at the Buddha mission? It was before all the things about vampires and revival so it had the whole most dangerous game feel in its simplest, purest form. It was also a time period that featured Kurono, however briefly, as a killer similar to The Digger in his total lack of feelings. Anyone else that feels that Gantz was better when it was a game about killing or being killed feel free to voice your opinion. In contrast,if you feel that I'm wrong or that it peaked in a different spot in the storyline also feel free to voice your opinion.

I actually don't think it peaked there, well maybe if you could cut up Gantz into parts, like part one part two etc., it would be the peak for part one. As you said it was in it's simplest and purest form but I personally believe without all these er "complications" inside Gantz it would have gotten boring in it's simplest form. So really it's like as new stuff happened it evolved it's purest form making it a bit more interesting as now we want to know what the deal is with the vampires whats going to happen with the new gantzers now that Kurono is gone yea most of us are pissed at this choice but it can lead to some truely amazing story development. But at the moment in my opinion so far the story has peaked in the oni mission as it seems to be the longest mission of the series and a lot of events went on in there.

@hadou - the budda mission is the longest.

and i feel that gantz also peaked at the oni mission, during the last fight anyway. plus its the first "big" battle the new main characters have experienced.

seemed like the buddha mission was a turning point for the manga. the main stars died, kuruno almost died. it was an awesome mission, but then kuruno had to do a mission alone, and he failed. something which we hadn't seen yet. it was a hint of things to come.
