I think that Kurono will have his every single gantz related memory erased. After that, I think that he will gain his memories back somehow.

Below are the reasons/further arguments for idea 1 and 2.
    1) - Gantz is a bastard
    - it'll be really interesting: something random. I for one would love to see how Reika, old man and Izumi would react.
    - Just like Tae took a photo but which was then later destroyed, the mission still carried on, which further support my first reason that Gantz is a bastard.
    - Has there really been reasons given as to why alien X or person A is chosen as a target for a mission? With our cultural background we may had assumed that these aliens are a threat to mankind or that Gantz wants everything to be kept hush hush. Yet there has been no attacks that were initated by the aliens or the fact that now almost everyone in Japan knows about Gantz. If we used the same reasoning to explain why Tae was targetted, then the next target for sure would be the whole of Japan. Thus currently it is still unknown as to the purpose of Gantz and how it chooses its targets. For the purpose of entertaining the readers, choosing Kurono as a next target I thought could be highly possible.

Yes they are. Kurono saved Tae using the suit. Kurono wore his suit inside his school uniform when he went to school. That is during the time when he is not a hunter and not in the middle of a mission. Using your logic, after erasing his memery, Kurono should certainly still remember his relatioship with Tae, but also him wearing a gantz suit to school. That is definitely not "having your memories of gantz removed". This is similar to the response from K2110 of Kurono training with Reika using the suit.

You make sense more than I do at least.

But I just thought of something that at least I think is interesting. Everyone asks themselves what is GANTZ's reason and is GANTZ the government etc. What if GANTZ is just something made by something for enjoyment? Everyone has seen the stupid movie Alien vs Predator where everything is a big "killer game" without reason. Perhaps GANTZ teleports aliens to an area just before he teleports the hunters, because he want them to kill each other so GANTZ (or the persons or things behind GANTZ) can have a great time watching it. It's like something between Battle Royale and Alien vs Predator. A show!

Man...if all of his memories are erased, then he will be like "WTF was I doing for the past 1/2 year?"

Also, if his memories of Gantz is erased, maybe he'll become his spineless self again.

I'm glad I convinced you that the blooming of the relationship between Tae and Kurono is indeed related to Gantz.

Your idea about Gantz simply being a game is interesting. It does answer a lot of questions but still leaves some remaining:
    - if it was indeed simply a game, why go through all the trouble to select people that are dead to be the participants?
    - If gantz also teleports aliens, how did the loner chibi alien found its way to Kurono's school?
    - what is gantz? How powerful must it be to have such aboslute control?

Have you ever read the book called "contest" by Matthew Reily? Your idea is nearly identical to the plot of his book. It is about a survival contest between a human against a bunch of aliens. And yes, they are all teleported to a specific location where they fight to the death. It is quite a good read.

Nah, I havent read it but it seems interesting.

    1. It goes through all that trouble just because it is easy. People dies - wei - they sure can die in GANTZ too. Perhaps if they have died before they enter GANTZ, they wont be as afraid to die again as they should be. I seldom see people in GANTZ get panicked crying their asses off. Perhaps that's what GANTZ wants. The strongest of them all are people who have died before. Reason: They will never fear death.

    2. That's more complicated. Perhaps it wasn't teleported, but why is there an limit area than? People die if they go out of the area (their heads blow up). If the alien doesn't have something alike, they can leave the area and the hunters wont be able to follow. The alien survived, and GANTZ let it stay (he even made it visible), just because GANTZ knew that it would hunt down Kurono. More shit for GANTZ enjoyment.

    3. What is GANTZ? I'd say it's one sick joke. It could be alien, but I doubt it. It's just something that exists. Perhaps it's governmental, like how the government excite themselves betting over who will win in Battle Royale. They wanna have some fun, that's all. But then the question is - where does the alien come from? Im thinking Men in Black.

I'm thinking... Gantz is indiscriminate with his targets. He chooses aliens that can be considered a potential threat. Doesn't matter if they're harmless in nature or whatever. The thinking behind all of this is that all aliens are the same.

The reason why he'd choose dead people to go on the missions is simple: they're already dead. He probably figured that if they're dead, it doesn't matter if they die a second time.

Or... at least that's what I think.

No, it was probably because it's an unlikely idea, since for doing that, Gantz (the series) would be repeating itself, since this is already part of the anime plot. Kurono was already targeted by Gantz in the anime, so seeing this in the manga again, this late, would probably be too repetitive. I know I'd be "Huh" at that.

If so, why was Tae chosen? She's not an alien. Therefore again the only logical explaination is because she took a photograph of the hunters in action. But as stated by my previous responses, if she was targeted for that reason, the next target would have to be the whole of Japan for the story to be kept consistent.

I'm thinking the opposite really. If you died, you can't be THAT strong. I know there are a few exceptions such as the two guys with physic power. However, besides the main characters, all the other ramdom people being teleported into gantz gets wasted.

If my life ended suddenly and I was brought back in gantz, I don't want to die again. I'll fear death even more.

oh my bad. I didn't watch the anime of gantz so I didn't know that Kurono was targeted before. I just thought that it would have really screwed Kurono up in the manga if all his comrades had to killed him.
How was it in the anime?

    Well...

    SPOILERS AHEAD

Okay. Now to sum it up, it happens after the statues mission, where Kurono is the only survivor. Next time he goes to the room it's all taken with other people. Pretty much all of them have already been shown in the anime (only), so you start wondering if there is some connection. That includes two psychos who murdered the bum Kurono and Katou saved in the beginning of the story (he saw that), and Kurono's teacher.

Kurono just wants to finish it all already, so he asks Gantz to show the target (so that he can kill it already). The target reads "Kurono-seijin" (alien Kurono), complete with Kurono's pic and some info. People start wondering about what the fuck they are supposed to do, since Kurono doesn't look like an alien, so he starts freaking out. Then some of the people (Kurono included) start having some allucinations (maybe induced by Gantz, since it's impossible to know), and some confusing stuff starts going on. The two psychos tried to contain the situation by pointing a gun at Kurono, but he escapes in the end.

Then they are teleported outside, to a roof. There are lots of electronic billboards there, and they started changing to stuff like "Please go and kill this guy", and "This guy is a liar", while Kurono tries to explain himself. Then they go in search of Kurono, but some of them doubt if they should really kill him. So, people die, stuff happens. Gantz then starts speaking to the two dudes on their minds, and led them to a place with lots of (real) weapons, like grenades, machine-guns and the crap. Looks like Gantz also removes the pain away from them, so that they feel nothing. In the end, everybody dies again, except Kurono.

Then things get totally "Evangelion" (meaning little makes sense from now on). Kurono sees that some of those people were in the subway platform with him in the beginning, and in the end, he's facing the train again. Then... I'm not gonna spoil what happens now, but I'll say it also doesn't make sense, so it doesn't matter either. =P

That's it. I tried to sum up, but I failed. Read at your own risk. This is a big lump of spoiler.
