Because it's kinda obvious by now that he needs Kei to help him out. As much as he hates him, anyone can see that he's been saved by Kei quite a lot. Then again, you also have to think of it this way...if Kei's gonna be happy free, and Izumi hates him, y would he want him to be free?

no but if you want to be better than someone and beat him at sth, u probably want him around so you can see how good he is and compare yourself to him

If so, Izumi is doing a pretty bad job at that. He fails every time, compared to Kurono.
