so, you do believe that universe is not created by God. how could some complex systems -like our body- exists if not created by something greater? evolution?

I can see what your saying. The concept between the forces of hell and heaven kind of fit in perfectly with the muslim religion and gantz. In their apocalypse Jesus actually takes up a sword and slays demons. At the end of the world those who are faithful go to heaven and those who are not stay on earth until a horn blows and they die. Kind of like gantz how he brings back those who survive. To those who unworthy, are the people who die in the missions.

I don't know if that is something that you might have been looking for as a connection but they kind of fit together.

Technically speaking, Katou would be Jesus while Kurono represents humanity in general. Consider:

1) Kurono hasn't died.
2) Katou has.
3) Katou's death led Kurono to improve himself into the person he is now; in essence "saving" him.
4) Katou has been ressurected.

Thus, Katou and not Kurono represents Jesus. Through his death he "saved" Kurono, aka humanity.

But then again I'm an agnostic, so...
