That's why I don't like them very much in Gantz. Most scanlators take it too hard on the leetspeak. In Japanese it's not nearly as close as that.

But without the leetspeak Gantz would just seem like some robot assigning things (even though he sort of is). All I can imagine him without leetspeak is just a deep voice telling them what to do; I'd be much more comfortable with a distorted voice that picks on people.

But maybe the scantalators got tired of the leetspeak, is that why they randomly stopped doing it in several chapters?
