Izumi..

This is something I don't really understand.

When a character reaches 100 point he/she has the option to be freed, but loses their memories of Gantz right? How is it that Izumi can still remember Gantz and the room then? Wasn't he freed... therefore, his memories should have been erased?

btw, I just stumbled upon Gantz on Sunday morning.. and I ended up downloading every chapter possible :-D .. Damn, I'm hooked, lol.

Well first of all in the words of so many of the Gantz forum members "Use the damn search button". Now short and sweet Gantz fucks up from time to time which was previously stated by Nishi, also the human mind has ways of remembering things even if they were forgotten either forcefully or intentionally. So the best analogy is that after they leave Gantz they become something like an amnesia patient except they don't lose all of their memory. Now Lock this thread fast.

Ahh.. I'm sorry it wasn't my intention to start up threads that have been answered already. I was just trying to start conversations with my new found love for gantz :-D

No problem in fact if anything you kinda got off light as I have a lot of patience and I know about half the people here would have answered in an annoyed way, so for future reference use the search button it will help you out on a lot of heartache.

...in other words, nobody has an official answer for that question. As well.

he did have that gantz ball. Izumi did say gantz wanted him to kill as many people as he could. and gantz did say that alot of the people it's had have been weak lately.

There are several things that still weren't explained when it comes to that. If Izumi loves the Gantz battles SO bad, then wouldn't have chosen to be freed from them after getting 100 points, unless he did and then regretted, which is... just as weird, since he was supposed to forget everything.
