Thread: Kurono's Gantzer Career

When the Gantz first started, Kurono intruced himself and stated that he was in his first year of highschool but much later in the manga when Tae is interviewing Izumi she says "How does it feel to be the most popular student in the third year?", and kurono and Izumi are in the same year so has Kurono's gantzer career lasted 2 years? Is this just a translation error? or was this known and I have just been somewhere else?

If he's been their for 2 years then he would be 17 or 18. Just something I was thinking about. Any comments?

I have never stopped to think about that but I don't think that it has passed two years since the begining of the story...

and if it is really true, i wonder how is katou's brother

when Kuruno fought against the school bullies, didn't they call him "that kid in 2nd year"? I could be wrong.

But when he talk to Tae he told she about the incident with the two boys in the subway, and he told her "A few months ago"... so, I dont know if it`s a traduction error, o Oku messed up things..

No, now that i check, it says months in two different scanlated versions. (btw traducción is not a direct cognate, the English equivalent is translation)

maybe it was te end f their first year... "few months ago" can mean second year now

It's some mistakes of translation.
Infact,it is "How does it feel to be the most popular student of the three year(all first ,second and third year)?".

I think it depends on how often Gantz calls them. I'm not sure whether it's nightly or monthly or what.
