But it pointless if we buy manga but but already know the story
If it's printed in English, Buy it.

When the producers get the message that the American market likes gantz, The Mangaka gets more money, to make more product to sell to both markets.
Even if its only indirectly, its important to support the artist. If we don't then they start going RIAA on our asses. This is why Scanlations are permitted to exist. Surely the owners to the Japanese rights to Gantz know that its being distributed for free online, however they know from past series, that they'll still turn a profit if they sell the American rights to a company that acknowledges a pre-existing fan-base.
I wouldn't panic if Viz gets a hold of it b/c there's no chance they would try selling this to children at Borders like Jojo, so they'd package it as an Editor's Choice like Short Cuts and that would be okay.
Now if CMX gets a hold of it, then I would panic. And I would suggest that you all do the same if that happens.
I remember reading some news story about big layoffs at ADV and how they where going to focus on bringing only manga for anime they got. Nothing came of it, but that bears mentioning.
is your question not answered above?
no there is no english version of the gantz manga.....cept online.
I have missed a lot in this forum, so I dunno, if this was already mentioned...
Dark Horse will release (after a lot of effort getting the license) the 1st volume of Gantz on Jun 25 2008. Here is the proof. I think on that day, we will have to celebrate much...
I hope that will have any effect on Germany, otherwise, I´ll simply import it!! Amazon will surely have it.
^ Yes, it was already mentioned, though on a different thread.
And since this has been revived, although it must be common knowledge by now, to the Brazilian folks around, Gantz manga has also been licensed in Brazil, but I guess it's already been a while since then. If the manual gets a Brazilian Portuguese version I'm buying it, though I don't see that happening. (damn you, Shin and all you manga-lucky French ¬¬ )
Fark sif buy the farking french version...
IT'S IN FRENCH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD...
I AM NOT BUYING THE MANGA JUST TO GET THE PRIVILEGE OF SEEING KURONO SAY "MERDE", REIKA "KURONO, J'E T'AIME", TAE "J'AI TOUT AVALE", etc, etc
so it's dark horse for me too...

It's kinda flustrating having the raw and being unable to understand most of it.
The Brazilian Portuguese version doesn't gimme the hots either.
Regardless, I think scanlators put much more effort in having a decent product...
