Thread: My own Gantz theories

Well, I've been reading at different theories and explanations for the "Gantz universe", and I wanted to share my own thoughts...

First, I really believe Gantz is EVIL! It plays with people at will, and probably coordinates missions in order to kill the different players. Nishi died in front of the Tanaka aliens, which had no problem to see through the invisibility device he always used during a year without problems, and that when he had 90 points... Of course, it may be a coincidence. Anyways, the most difficult missions appear when things in the "hunter group" are going fine. And well, Gantz certainly became upset at Kurono when he shot the gun at him...

Also, I do believe that Gantz itself is an alien, or a human powering an alien device... and that his objective is bringing the end of the world by attacking the aliens. Probably, Gantz is choosing the most aggresive ones, so after they comrades are killed they try to bring destruction on the human side, like the shorty alien. Also, the last "vampire boss" sweared to kill all human beings in Tokyo before he died! I remember that an alien asked why they were killing them, since they never hurted anyone. I also remember the expression of the shorty alien when he was about to die... it was something like "I die with honor", not as some kind of bad guy. So, those aliens probably just want to be left alone...

My guess is that the "really powerful weapon" will be placed inside the box with Izumi's name (were you can usually find the suit), and that he'll be the only one able to use it. As for what it is, probably Gantz "builds" it to suit the one that asks for it, and since Izumi's favorite weapon is the sword, it may be some kind of improved one (energy sword? Japanese manga authors seem to love it ).

Well, let's wait two days to see what will be Kurono's choose. Since it seems that everyone (except Izumi) is choosing to resurrect people, maybe Kurono will resurrect Kishimoto. Also, what will "Muscle Rider" choose? Maybe he'll resurrect Kishimoto instead of Kurono, since he seems to be having a lot of fun inside the Gantz world, and he doesn't like to use weapons... If that happens, maybe we'll have a surprise and Gantz won't allow Kurono to be free . As I said before, Gantz is evil... Then, the option he would take would be probably the big weapon.

What I've no clue is what makes the suits power down, like in the end of the 15th volume, when Tae is the objective, and the group begin killing each other... Anyone has a good theory on that?

Hi, mephist0, ok tú teoría es buena!!, incluso yo pensaba al principio de que Gantz como tú decías es un demonio. Pero después de ir leyendo los tomos y de ir observando muchos foros diferentes a la de esta página, esa teoría de que Gantz es un demonio no me suena o hay que pensar más acerca de lo que nos quiere tratar decír el autor. Si ustedes se dan cuenta, todos los extraterrestre o los aliens siempre le preguntan a los gantzers que porque quieren matarlos, es decír matar a los aliens. Bueno esa es una pregunta que no sé y me tiene también pensando, por eso se podría llegar a la conclusión de que Gantz es un demonio, quizás los extraterrestres quieren traer paz, bueno eso pensé. Pero bien cada uno piensa distinto y el único que nos sacará de esa duda es el autor. Te sugiero que te metas en el foro de JDPIMP145 the foro name's "What is Gantz trying to tell us?" y si todos leen lo que sale en ese foro se darán cuenta que al principio nishi nos dijo, que Gantz nos reunía para matar extraterrestre ya que había una sobrepoblación de ellos, depronto es que en un futuro los aliens se piensan apoderar del planeta y Gantz o quiere que eso pase. I'm sorry, but this Spanish has got to stop. I can't enter a thread nowadays without being confronted with it. We don't all speak Spanish, people! If you're going to post here, speak English. I'm not being racist, I'm simply saying that English should be spoken in an English-speaking forum. I speak English fluently, French passably, and am learning Latin and Japanese. Spanish I know nothing of. Please, for the love of God, speak a language we can understand. I don't care if your English isn't perfect. I'd rather get the basic idea behind your post than be horribly confused by a language I don't even speak.

Ok your teory is good!!, by the way I fouth(think in pass) at the begining that Gantz as you said was a demon. But as you can see by reading the ark and by reading diferent post of this page, that teory that Gantz is a demon dont sound good or we need to think about what the autor is trying to tell us. If you have notice, all the aliens allways ask the players(gantzters) ''why do they wanna kill us'' . Well thats a question that that I my self dont know and it have me thinking, by that we can get to the conclucion that gantz is a demon, maybe the alien wanna bring peace, well thats my opinion . but every one thinks diferent and the only one that will bring us out of the dout is the author. My sugestion to you is to go to the 'JDPIMP145 forum and the topic name is "What is Gantz trying to tell us?" and if all of you read what is in this forum you will know of what Nishi said , that ''Gantz gather us to kill aliens now that there is a sobrepoblacion''(dont know how to say it in english it means to much people in one place) of them, sudenly is that in the furure the aliens would take over the world and Gantz don't want that to happen. In the end from diferent points of view ,there is no way to know if gantz is good or evil.
