Thread: Gantz... haters of the new arc.

Okay, so I've been around stoptazmo for a while. Quit reading manga for a long time. Occasionally kept up with Berserk here and there. I recently watched some of the Gantz anime which I never did finish. And then I got wildly curious as to what happened after the part of the Gantz manga that I left off. The story up to the point I was at was getting overly complicated and was losing my interest. And anime/manga was losing my interest in general. After picking up at the last spot I remembered and doing a bit of re-reading (not much though I think I called it pretty close to where I left off) I was quickly sucked back in. For those of you disliking the main end part of Gantz here I have to say I disagree! It's much more interesting than it was a while back at the point I left off. We all knew it was going weird places with it, and I'm pretty happy for the most part.

sucks for me that Reika died, I really really loved her character, much more than Tae. Maybe I enjoy this Katastrophe story arc better than most of you though because I took a LONG break from Gantz, and it's just refreshing from the same old, same old. It's really cool to me though, can't wait to see how it ends! Thought female Kei would've been long revived by now and would have a bigger part but oh well. It's really, really good! Definitely a favorite of mine. Love me some Gantz!!!

Well, I don´t exactly hate the new arc, but I still think the old arcs, like the Buddha and Dino Missions were tons better!

New arc lammeee and wtttthhhhh!!! I'm just waiting till he finishes and starts something new. I'm pretty certain it'll be bad. I really feel he got lucky with this manga somehow.

I agree that the old, old stuff was a bit better because it was such a fresh idea and so on and so on. The new one I feel is really good though and better than the early mid to late mid part of the manga, just because of how confusing it all got with all the characters. The buddha statues part was WAY cool and one of the peaks of the whole manga for me, so I agree with you there. And I also really loved the part where they introduced a lot of the major players in the current part of the manga like Reika and others.
