Well, Katou was sort of a "light" too in the Gantz universe... Trying to help everyone, trying to make sure everyone will be alive...Exactly like Kurono, but he died anyway. It really made me think about Gantz and its message, cuz' even if you try to be a hero in Gantz, you end up dying...

So, I think there's no real message. Katou didn't deserve to die, but he died anyway... Even if I think really hard, I can only see Gantz as fictionnal story about people trying to survive....

Never thought there would be such parallels drawn from the bible to Gantz, it's very interesting and possibly, completely wrong.

I'm not entirely sure about the Kurono / Jesus thing, it seems to fit MUCH better with katou considering he was a natural leader and well he died and is, wait! being ressurected.

This is messing my head... it's like the days of evan / bible study all over again.

Heros are meant to die, well some heros. I dont think that Katou is the "light" too. Because Katou doesnt have the same feeling to survive like Kurono(The power of suvivor).

Ok, I don't believe that you try compare kurono with jesus, beacuse jesus is jesus and kurono is kurono. So the neo is jesus too (matrix), but the history isn't similar. Because in all story always have one people that going to save the world. So all personage principal is jesus. I like when this jdpimp145 explain us "Heros are meant to die, well some heros. I dont think that Katou is the "light" too. Because Katou doesnt have the same feeling to survive like Kurono(The power of suvivor)". Then you ask ¿how does kurono get the strong?. Ok jdpimp145 still explain us with his answer. So while kurono got this mind (The power of suvivor), he's going to be light for all people in gantz. Ok i try to do the best for explain you in english. Ok see ya!!! I hope that you understand me.!!

Well!! Yeah most Heros are meant to die. You havent watch Naruto or other anime?? Those people that risk their life to save others are Heros. Those who die saving/trying to save others are also Hero.

Anyway, I think Kurono is the only one in this story who is the "light". It's simple, Katou is too busy worring about other people and Kurono is too busy saving people. Katou is such a good person that he even feels sorry for some Aliens(Like the Onion Alien). Kurono kills any aliens in order to survive. Katou wants to survive along with his team. Kurono is confident that he's gonna survive with his team. Katou can also be a negative person sometimes. For example: On the Buddham mission he said that it was impossible to be kill the Giant Buddham alien. On the other hand Kurono said that he will kill it(which he did). Let me tell what Kurono has that Katous doesnt; Confidential and Talent. Katou trys and Kurono makes it. Also the fact the Kuruno is a better leader than Katou.

Well to start off though Kurouno wasn't the "leader" type, if anything he was more like the Nishi type and would have just told the others to fuck off first before helping them. It was the other stuff that prgressed him from "hell yea this rules" to"I need to get out of here" to"I want to revive everyone I ever loved or held dear as friends". Thus it brought out his old charisma. Katou on the other hand, last I checked he had a revelation from peace lover to realizing in order for him to leave he would have to kill. Unfortunatly(spelling?) he died before he could continue on with this mind set. My point being he did change his mindset if even a little and we have yet to see if this will come out in future chapters, I dare go as far as say that Katou will care a lot less about others and be more for himself now, kinda like the way Kurouno was. Now this is to point out that Katou was supposed to have at least changed in some way before he died so his actions now probably arn't going to be the same as before.
