^ Exactly what I was thinking. It's the thing I hate the most about Gantz. In any other mangaka's hands, this series would be over in 200 chapters max. Good thing I'm not a Gantz fanatic like I used to be

In the earlier phase it was done right IMO, and now we´re just impatient and annoyed at where he went. Let´s just hope for a good ending.

I found Reika to be an interesting character until Oku decided to give her her own Kurono. From there it was kinda predictable how it would end up and she had nothing to do.
Still, I disappointed about her death... I'm mean it happened again off-screen and she got off easy. I myself imagined she would fight the boss and just a she delivers the finishing blow, Kurono wakes up and see's how the monster explodes into these light bubbles causing Reika to multiply into a monster. Kurono would then struggle to finish her off... IMO that would've been more interesting.
And about these "filler" parts... well i don't think they are that big of a deal. The bigger problem is that you only get about 20 page every two weeks so i seems like Gantz goes on forever. IMO its actually quite well balanced for those who'll read the whole story (once completed) in a go.
