Thread: Kaze in the Dark Horse Manga

Oh, man, I just got the 10th Gantz volume today and I was so excited to finally see the official English translation version of my 2nd favorite Gantz character, Kaze. Now, I can't tell if they were going for a boston accent or a southern accent, but either way it's completely retarded. Every time Kaze says words it just completely takes away how badass he is.

Here's some samples:

"Yah think any of yah are woathy of me?" I guess that's supposed to be 'worthy'?
"Onizuka! Wheah ah yah?! Get out heah! Now!"

Seriously, what the fuck.

Good thing he speaks less and less in the manga...

Oh god really, Bought 9 last week. Need to pick up 10 when I get paid. Sheeeeeeeit. Country bumpkin.

Well, official translators did it again.
Completely ruined a character.
It feels so bad in my chest right now...

It really is quite disgusting. Too extrovert in my opinion, they tried too hard.

Yeah, that's the point. He totally sounds like he was dumb or something. Dumb but strong whilst knowing shit about life besides fighting.

But that isn't him. He soo isn't the Arnold Schwarzenegger kind of guy, they want them to be. He is strong, yes, but his strength doesn't begin with his muscles. The source of his strength is somewhere inside of him.

Kaze is literally a combination of Akira from Virtua Fighter and Paul Phoenix from Tekken.
