The humans are no problem, and the mechas don't kill single targets, they just run arround and screw everything, so the invis mode would not help him against them.

I wonder what that little rsacal is up to again.

It's probably because of his habit. Nishi always goes invisible on the first sign of danger. I have a feeling those mechs will target individuals once they're done destroying buildings.

Boring chapter.

No, it was boring if those mechas could transform if they weren't shot from afar :P

Plus...this ugly man who shouts 'you deserve it'...did i miss s th and was he mentioned in the manga before?

Couse elseways...is it just an oku thing about society or might it be an undervocer alien?

I mean yeah yeah its just a prologue, but a prologue to what?, 50 chapter of wild fucked up mission?, been there, done that oku!

I don't really have a problem with this chapter. Visuals are nice, and as stated its no secret that these few chapters are a prologue. You can ask 'a prologue to what?' but the question is sort of redundant, because they are located at the beginning of the story. Its a prologue for what's to come. Still to be revealed.

I feel you though, explanations are one thing this Manga refuses to give. But I think it is made easier knowing that this is the final stage in Gantz. And I think as far as Oku is concerned, he's happy with the 'explanation' he gave at the end of the last phase.

these chapters have really wet my appetite for more. I think they served their purpose. I can't believe people are saying same old, same old when this is the first time the Gantzers are up against mechanical enemies, they have all been "organic" so to speak, until now.

visual are nice, alrite that I can agree with

but seeing big mecha destroyin big building / city is waaaaay overused these day, I can name you couple movie, countless manga, and TON of anime with that scene,

and the fact we already know that this scene coming two week ago ( what we dont see comin that it will take the whole chapter) didnt help at all.

and what end of-last phase-explanation ?, fat girl mumbling cryptic language isn't sound like explanation to me, and that uber powerful german dude is givin moooore question for oku to answer ( and dont make me started bout the vamp! )

yes I startin to be a whining fans here, but oku have it comin the way he treated us! ^^

dude its not like we saying that we will quit waiting the next chapter, all we saying that we asked/expected for moaaare!

and the budha statue isnt really that organic..., well, depend on what you mean with organic anyway

and I'm still sayin it still the same old same old ^^

For me I enjoy action more at a personal level (people battling others instead of vehicles) and also talky bits, including explanations on whats going on. This was pretty much Giant Robots smashing things up for an unexplained reason and the Tokyo team looking broody like Angel...

Like said above, Im not going to just stop reading, but I hope we at least see who the Tokyo team has to battle and why, soon.

You can call me naive for thinking this but I can't enjoy a manga unless I submit to the writers creative vision, It's hard to enjoy something when I have my own expectations about it, or try to compare it to and draw parallels between it and other manga. Which there are bound to be. Besides, anybody who reads manga or watches anime should be used to writers drawing out the tension for as long as possible, it's the norm, even more so in Gantz.
