to shinigamiwolf: you can get fifty weapons at once if you like, but make sure you remember that i'd take that into account, and the probability that you are able to any of them is like zero. i mean, you try carrying fifty guns at once.

Gantz: Let the games begin..
You find yourself beamed infront a baker store. the door is shut. you realise the sun is not up yet, its still early morning. after your eyes adjust to the brightness, you read the name of the store "Xa's Bakery"
You look around, the store is located on the top of a hill in one of the suburbs. but its isolated. there are a few trees around, and a big boulder on the left side of the door.
QM finds himself on his monocycle in front of a bakery among the other people from the room. He positions the bike so he has a clear view of the bakery and the side of the hill he is on. His right side is towards the bakery, he holds the X-rifle pointed at the door. "Someone should go in there and investigate. I'll cover you." In the back of his mind he formulates a plan, where if anything goes wrong he will go down the hill a bit and circle it, shooting at anything if needed.
Since this "DnD" Gantz, I think each player should be able to choose their own class of character. Each gantzer call for their class at the start of the each round. Special "abilities" should be defined ahead of times, those abilities should not be changed again for fairness sake. I'm assuming that theres gonna only be 8 gantzers so i'm gonna attempt to conjure up 8 classes now. Plz add on to my suggestion.
The Analytical One: the guy that analysis everything before he acts.
Special Ability (SA): each turn, player of this class gets both an action and attack move instead of just one attack or one movement.
The Gunslinger: one who is good at using a firarm.
SA: Player may hold up to 3 x-guns plus additional gear. Increase shooting range by 50%
The Melee Assaulter: skilled in melee combat using either sword or suit power.
SA: Has the ability to hold enemy still with arms for one turn. May choose to do double damage with melee attack but 50% accuracy decrease.
The Driver: skilled in handling of vehicles.
SA: May carry one extra person on Gantz bike. May use bike to ram enemies three times for knockback.
The Heale: skilled in healing.
SA: May restore broken limb of either another team or him/herself three times only. Must carry cloaking device.
The Stalker: Stalks his pray before he kills.
SA: player may skip as much as turn as he/she likes (at least one) in order appear at ANY battle scene that are currently happening. Player may kill steal for points.
The Agile One: Characterized by quickness, lightness, and ease of movement.
SA: May choose to attack twice or move twice to skip one turn. Has the ability to steal EXTRA weapon from either team members or enemy if he/she is not carrying a weapon.
The Leader: One who is in charge or in command of others.
SA: ALWAYS get first move on start of each round of game. May summon one player to his location per two turns.
This won't be much useful in this Gantz RPG because we dont calculate damge and movement and things. It's a start.
all those can be easily included in the system.
but having all the classes is just too wierd. i mean, after all, its just normal people that are summoned into gantz, we're not having an online RPG game. but since we're trying to stick to the manga, getting too specialized might be a bit too far. its alright if everyone has some kind of edge to them, i mean, a truck driver or a football player would have distinctively different style of surviving. and they'll use different skills and knowledge to do so.
having the players to choosea CLASS is sorta an old idea, the fun of this is so there are no set restrictions of what you can or can not do, in my opinion.
if you want to have some kind of specialty, thats totally fine. you could choose one of those specialized areas mentioned above and use it. as i said, if you want to have some unique character, write up a description like QM has and PM to me. let the audience decide what type of person you are, we dont have to spell it out for them =)
if you're doubting fairness, then let me explain a little. even if you're a trained soldier, you have been in battle many times before, you will still miss shots. experience does not guarantee success. the random factor is large, especially in gantz manga, i'm sure everyone noticed that =P
also, im trying to make this fun, so is everyone else. its not just about surviving and winning, i would think i'd try to interact with fellow gantzers and create something entertaining. like, even if i die some horrible death in the RPG as a result of just walking along some random corridor, as long its got a meaning and everyone finds it entertaining, so be it, i'll get back next round.
but still thanks tho, twistsi, participation is always welcomed. next time please PM me to discuss this sort of thing tho, or this thread's gonna get messy.
edit: i just went back the posts carefully again, seems to have a few people wanting to have some notable unique ability/characteristic. very well, if thats the case PM me with what you want to have as your description. if they are apropriate, i will post them up for everyone to see when second round starts. if you do not send in a description, i will make up one due to my observation of you.
Hello can I still join or should i wait for the next mission? Also whats the difference between the ability of the analytical and agile one?
Ferret mage sits down in a corner and starts to stroke his gun nervously, his eyes dart back and forth as he silently whispers to the gun "My precioussssssss...."
He stops when another guy sititing down starts to eye him strangely. After the guy looks away Ferret mage goes back to whispering to his gun.
zokie turns his look to the sign again.
"okay... that guys mind just broke- he thinks to himself"
out loud he sais- "ok we are obiusly to kill this 'muffin-man' guy if we want to return...right?

edit: i guess my char is a... cop in real life? died in a voilent robbery... (a idea could be that one of you is one of the robbers who died when the police fiered in self defence, might add some flavour to the story)
( and could people stop acting like gantz pro's? its the first round for the love of god, act a bit surprised and/or confused, its more fun that way)
