"Yeah, walk away like you always do..." Says Takezo as Shin dissapears from the scene. He lets out a wad of spit of the direction that shin walks, showing utter disgust for the man. He then turns his sights back to the spear. Something still wasn't right, they still haven't transferred back even after he had killed the boy scout the only thing that it could mean was that the alien was alive. Takezo had a hunch that the spear might have been a clue to it all but it was just a dead end.
He pulls out his radar to try his luck in locating the alien. He however finds that the radar still was offline. He cursed at the worthless contraption and start to look around for any other clues. With very little time left and pretty much with very little options, he calls out to the others; "IT'S STILL ALIVE!"
(OOC: Didn't know if Takezo saw the woman, so i won't write her in. Is it obvious that the woman is an alien.... Is the woman naked? or does she have clothes on?)
Tomoe's blood ran cold and began to feel nauseous when she placed just where she had seen that woman before. Her first thought was that she had used a living person as bait and felt like a horrible person for it. It took a moment to put things together in her head. The supposedly dead woman plus the fact that the mission hadn't ended made for a simple equation.
"Shit," she said with a long, exasperated sigh.
"Alien. Gotta go."
She initiated her invisibility and ran towards the familiar woman in the crowd. She forced her way through until she was sure she could accurately hit the dead, bug-infested woman and fired her X-rifle at her head.
Keiko perks up, looking about as Tomoe darts off for the alien.
"Alien? Where? Hey!"
Keiko hops up to her feet and extends the blade on her sword.
"I want fame and glory too!" She yells, grinning.
Forgetting to turn invisible for the moment, she darts off the direction Tomoe headed in before dissapearing from sight.
What a strange day. As if things hadn't been bad enough. First, I had gotten my hands on this fine shell, with it's smooth skin. But the euphoria was short lived. Through my little helpers, I knew someone was following. It was better to leave this gemstone behind, so that it could move more easily and escape.
I was still in the vicinity, thinking about where to get a suitable replacement, when these people dressed in black showed up.
From their interest in the discarded skin I had gotten a bad feeling and continued to watch them. It was clear what they were looking for and they didn't give up. In an attempt to gather more information, I had my trusty servants intangle one of the strangers in combat. After it became clear how powerful the enemy was, the second step was to get a better understanding of the situation. It was easy enough to ambush a lone fighter in a dark alley.
This daring plan worked perfectly and I was able to approach the enemy safely. But it became clear what their objective was. To hunt down and kill me. But for what purpose? All I did was survive. What gave these people the right to kill me? When they all joined their comrade, it was clear they were not gonna stop this. Simply running and hiding wasn't gonna cut it. Even though I didn't like it, I had to make a stand.
It was certainly a big help that I was inside one of them. I could fool them and attack from behind unnoticed. For a while things were looking good. I weakened them a long time before my deception was revealed. By that time I thought I could win this fight, so I continued. In retrospect, it was not the smartest thing. Somehow they had managed to stop my supply line, and things only went downhill from there. Not being a fighter myself, I was scared to death when one ofthem managed to catch me. Just when I was about to leave this body, another one came down on me. The next moment, the head I had moved into was spinning through the air. This brush with death made it clear that retreat was in order. But at least I managed to punish some of them for their attempt to take my life, and to slip away. What a thrilling tale I have to tell. But now i gotta hurry and get home to...
Tomoe makes her way through the people in her way. Understandably there is some turmoil due to people being pushed away by something invisible. But such things don't prompt Gantz to activate the bomb in her head for revealing Gantz to the outside world. And the alien is too immersed in it's own thoughts to notice anything. Tomoe gets a clean shot and takes the opportunity. In the drop from the building the rifle's setting must've been set to maximum level of explosion, because the aliens complete torso and head explodes. Even more understandly, a person expldoing and covering the people around it in blood creates even more turmoil. The alien was inside the chest at that time and is killed.
ooc: Normally, people shouldn't be able to see the alien. But I found it funnier this way. And since the alien uses human skin to move around the human world, I think that's okay.
The alien inside the body is kinda like how cell works in Dragonball. The alien is the core that has to be destroyed to kill it, and it can move around inside the body, making it harder to hit. That's why Takezo's attack didn't kill it, because he only hit the bug body.
I think the post seems a little strange because it's written very manlike for an alien. But i wanted to write it from it's first person view to show it's not always clear who the bad guy is. And first person illustrates that better because it gives the alien a personal touch. But writing it more alien style would've been much harder, so I sttled for this.
Anyway, it's all yours dharma.
(ooc: finally have some time to put down a small update.)
The transfers begin almost immediately. For tomoe it's another hunt that she has survived, however no glory can be claimed as the spectre of her dead comrades hang before her. Though saddened by the fate of dino and perhaps Sean, she is still glad that she's alive. Who would have thought that even Dino would perish and yet she(Tomoe) herself could have survived. Keiko, who is by her side ask if the death of the alien meant that the hunt is finally over but before she can get an answer, Tomoe is transfered leaving keiko standing in the alley all by herself.
The area seem hauntingly silent as keiko awaits her transfer or she hope that it does. She starts feeling uneasy after a while, as if some one was watching her. She folds her arms her body tightly, hoping to ignore that chilling feeling, keiko decides to walk back to where the 'boys' were. As she turns around, keiko is stopped at her tracks as an insect flutters past her and lands on the corpse of the dead alien. She readies her sword immediately, ready for an attack. What she sees instead surprises her instead. A little girl, around the age of 9-11 stand before her staring innocently at keiko. Unsure of what to do keiko decides to speak to the girl but before the words can emerge from her mouth, the girl looks at the dead corpse beside her. "Momma?..." she cries out, in the most perculiar accent. The girl runs past keiko, who is unable to comprehend what's going yet, towards the corpse. The girl looks back again at keiko, staring blankly at her. Keiko tries to say something again but this time is cut short by her transfer to the room.
Shin is back in the room once again, another hunt which he has survived. This time round he remembers everything that had happened during the past hour. He sits in the corner as the transfers keep coming in, unsure of his emotions; anger, resentment, dispair and rejected. After a while, He starts noticing something odd. The room which is usually well lit is dark, reflecting the cloudy skies outside. There's also the odd tune which the ball usually plays before the hunt starts, playing gently in the background. He starts wondering what all means. Shin then spots takezo walking towards the black and starts looking at its screen. realizing that there's a message on the balls screen shin walks forward towards the ball to see what it is.Both shin and takezo read the message, which they find is rather garbled, "y0_r _1v3_ h4_3 __d3_. Wh4t __0 d0 w1__ __ _. . .. Pr3t_y 0l __13n. Th4t's th3 th_0ry, 4n_w4_. ____" It's pretty obvious that some thing isn't right as the two young men try to decipher what's on the screen. It takes tem a while to figure it out but from what they can see the message, which looks prety much corupted, seems to be part of their mission briefing just an hour ago.
Keiko appears in the room in silence, her eyes watery and brimming with tears after the last images she saw on the mission. The hand with the sword hilt still gripped in it hangs limply at her hip.
"That's it then?.....We're just done? I don't even know how to get home from here...."
She glances about the bare room as people transfer in.
"I....don't even know where this is anyway..."
