Thread: Gantz RPG Mission 04 OOC

Nice little free for all we've got going now. I'm gonna enjoy this one.
It certainly beats pulling people from the wreckage when it comes to excitement.

Just a quick note; the position of the good (or evil) doctor wakahisa is wrong on the map. He should be where keiko and the gang are right now. The doctor rode past the brothers while Ryu was firing his weapon at Takezo, just before the truck came rolling in. This means Tsujide shouldn't be posting that rather short movement post and post something more relevant. Anyway if Tsujide doesn't change before the latest update, then i guess the GM should ignore his post and re-position him at the proper place.

On a side note... Come get it! deathmatch, Gantz style! Yeah!

No need for an edit. I have to disagree about his position.
In the beginning the doc was driving so slow that he was behind the walking group. He was still there when the group bumped into Takezo after he had been thrown against the cars. He wrote that he rides on, but after that he and Shin spoke with each other. I treat his riding one action therefore as invalid. When everyone started walking again, Takezo was in front. He could see a bike in the distance with the two brothers on. After your last update, tsujide said the doctor headed around a corner. The nearest was the one everyone else used to get to the alien. I know he was already a little past that on your last map, but I figured that's the one he meant. Given that up ahead his supposed teammates were fighting each other, why would he drive that way?
I like where he is now, and he can stay there.


But I noticed a different error the other day, while checking some facts about the characters. Right before the accident happened, Shin wanted to check if stealth was still up. Sean, Shin and Keiko went stealth. But after the crash, Shin told Tomoe and Sean what he'd do and Tomoe heard him (can you here someone who is in stealth? I'm not sure.). What's more, Ryo saw and reacted with Shin and Keiko. And Ryu was visible. To correct this, Shin, Sean and Keiko deactivated stealth after the crash, so they could talk with Tomoe.
Which means right now Shin, Keiko, Andre and Ryo are visible, while Tomoe and Takezo are not.

Yeah, not sure about Tomoe being able to hear but I was surprised when Ryu could see Shin and Keiko but I just went with it absent-minded.

For when Shin dropped stealth, yeah I except your version Feanor.

I've re-read the Tae hunt again, well here's what would have happen;

Keiko holds on to Shin as he cloaks where-by they both move towards the Ryu and Andre's position. Upon seeing injured bystanders, Keiko lets go of Shin there by disengaging the cloak on her. (It happens to Tae at the end of chapter 179 where Tea is only cloaked by Kurono for a while, when he leaves her she hides and is immediately spotted by one of the biker gantzers) So the only problem is that how Shin might have been seen. Right now we don't know if touching another person might effect the other person once the cloak is engaged in the manga but i would say that handling any object would probably cancel out a persons cloak just like when Nishi stepped on the little chick in the Tanaka alien hunt. Since Ikari mentions, "Shin looked back at Keiko smiling slightly and got to work pulling Dre from the wrecked car." So it nullifies his cloak.

Well, I have officially lost track of the doctor. I don't know where he is right now, and where he is headed.
I liked where he was because that meant he is crossing paths with Tomoe in the dark alley, and since he's a nutjob, I thought this could be interesting.

I've been wanting a run in with Tomoe as well. I'm not sure where he is either but my best guest is right by Keiko so I should be going to her right towards the east border of the map.

Okay. Following the red path that the team has travelled together, until they split up. If the doc was at the crash-site, or should have been there, he's now next to Keiko and heads east, then that puts him where the yellow arrow starts.

Just thinking about the kefuffle about Stealth, I think if posters state in bold they're going in stealth and then put on the start of future posts the word "stealth" in bold, it makes it easy for the gms to notice and note it.

On that end, maybe noting the players name in a different colour or something in the updates, showing they are in stealth makes it easy for everyone to see whos in what frequency too.

I think normally, a gm has that in mind. I don't pay too much attention to all the previous stuff that happened this mission, since I only fill in for the rest of this mission. If I were the regular gm, I'd have detailed notes about everything that was done and said and in who's presence etc, so I can check it all easily. As a temp, I didn't want to go the extra mile, read back and make a list. So little mistakes are bound to happen.

But I still think what you're suggesting makes sense. If not for the gm, it would be a good aid for the players. I'm gonna include a note in the player updates, from now on.
