Name: Blackwell, ''Memo'', Dash
Age: - 22
Sex: Male
Race: - African American
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 154 lbs
Hair Color: - Black
Eye Color: - Brown
Language(s): - English
Career: - Aspiring songwriter and local Hip Hop artist currently immersed in a year long slump questioning whether or not he should have stayed in school. Because of this, Dash had finally decided to pursue a different path in life thus enrolling himself into community college some odd hours prior to his death.
Inventory: - A decade old chain wallet with $35 to his name and jet black 80 GB iPod filled to the very brim with a mixture of Hip Hop, Rock, Synthpop, Anime OSTs and various foreign artists though his most recent collection of new up and coming local artists have become his most prized possession. Recently addicted to Japanese Hip Hop producers with which he had strived to work with the likes of many.
Appearance: Tall medium build lacking define tone doning reading glasses, slightly unkept hair complimented by a less than flattering rough forest of facial hair wearing a plain medium sized white t-shirt under a seemingly expensive long extra large royal blue colored button up shirt. The back of his button up shirt showcasing a large adult sized hand print in red paint. The collar purposely left unbuttoned to expose the white t-shirt and tacky cheap looking wafer thin dog tags recovered from a beloved action figure kept as a reminder of better days. Sitting ever so tilted to the right atop his head is self-made blue and red wool skull cap inspired by one worn by the fictional Capcom character, Phoenix Wright. His shoes are camo dark and light blue and white pair of Converse All-Stars with dark baggy broken in denim jeans left to complete the outfit.
Strength: - Strangely adept in body language, Dash openly exploits those whom would normally take advantage of unsuspecting patrons during his part-time sales rep. position at a tuxedo rental establishment popular with the ladies inside of a modest shopping mall. One could say he has a natural eye for detail often the first to note or point out the gaping inconsistencies and failings of others. And though preferring to maintain a rather conservative low key position in the foreground, he will rarely hesitate to assign himself tasks deemed less desirable among his peers.
Weakness: - Overly confident in his less than stellar analytical prowess, he is often prone to waste time balancing the pros and cons of any serious situation before making a decision he can live with until his bearings are straight. Horrible at first impressions he tends to come across as a bit flaky, misinformed, and generally incapable at times. Many so far as to presume an aura of undeserved arrogance with a slight drizzle of star quality entitlement from him. Because of this, he can be a tough pill to swallow and rarely feels comfortable in even the most inviting social settings naturally expecting the worst out of every situation. Although somewhat slim he is generally out of shape with zero real life battle as well weapon experience barring the occasional Guncon use playing various first person shooting arcade games.
Personality: - Despite clearly being born a natural leader in many different respects, he is often lazy, jaded, and marginally unimpressed with the world around him. A slacker as well a dreamer tending to stray away from challenging tasks, Dash frequently rejects any and all open opportunities for advancement or growth in nearly every aspect of his life. Convinced of being born merely a "supporting actor starring in the game of life", clearly the thought of change petrifies him. And only when forced does he tend to thrive in high paced, high stress environments. His view of himself is that of an expected failure itching to once day realize his real potential thus proving his worth to the world. It is also interesting to note he is a classic example of a Cancer in every sense; irrefutably loyal, innately nurturing to those of whom have earned his respect and trust, overly protective to those he would call family. Because of his constant mood swings, he is often misunderstood and unappealing thus subjecting himself to the path of a loner.
Background: Forever immersed in the once vivid and limitless depths of his imagination, Dash wasn't quite the model student. Academics bore him. There was no thrill, no form of gratification instant enough, no damsel in distress or alien race deserving utter destruction. Just... work, work, and more... work. Sheep herding another submissive flock to mold; Cyborgs... building themselves. Such a waste of youth when your whole life lay ahead of you! A troublesome effort in his opinion with which there was no guarantee of happiness unlike every tall tale lonely enough to reside in his mind. So while calculating formulas or writing book reports he'd often be seen in a trance. His eyes laid forever amused in a glazed not yet shattered plotting his next adventure one rushed homework assignment at a time. Even spending 8 hours a day with the few friends he had nearly drove him to utter madness which in turn gave him a greater appreciation for home, as well... family. There he was at peace listening to a collection of recording sessions his long passed local musician of a father had left him. Spending time with his stern retired doctor of a mother easing her cancer one short story at a time. And finally... marveling at his secret stash of money itching to buy a brand new mic while devising a new scheme to blackmail his older cousin with a set of doctored baby pictures into teaching him how to DJ. A year or so after breaking free of the prison some would refer to as the public schooling system, his childhood dream of rocking shows had become realized. Ahh... the days of fast dames and chump change were upon him. Weekly broken promises, mediocre audio equipment, sessions cut deadly short. Much sooner than his wings matured they were clipped. His dream crushed by the weight of a result driven world unknown to him. The life of a real artist... wasn't suiting him after all.
Cause of Death: - After purchasing a few items and exiting a corner store, he crosses the street carelessly stopping dead in the middle to check his mother's text messages on her cell phone as an ice cream truck stolen by the local youths appears out of nowhere swerving to miss him. Much to his surprise, it narrowly misses him. Unfortunately due to the initial shock of this near life or death experience a couple of Starburst lodge themselves firmly within his throat as onlookers rush to his add. He later dies during the ride to the nearest hospital in the ambulance clutching his mother's cell phone in his left hand with a peculiar smile on his face.
The message reads: "We've just received your son's demo tape and love his material! Tch, you can be QUITE the persuasive woman, haha! If he's ready to change the world then you've GOT to convince him to sign with us! See you soon! - GGPO Productions." Sent inside of the hospital whilst EMTs finish writing their report and argue over last night's playoff basketball game.
Ugh...
I feel so out of place among these streamlined condensed character bios. Any word on when the mission will start?
In order to 'acknowledge' the 'irony' I would have to learn two new words today.
...
...And I'm not going to do that.
