Thread: Gantz RPG Mission 04 OOC

Eh, shit happens. You honestly shouldn't have to apologize for leading a hectic lifestyle because it seems like whenever you do have some time to yourself something epic is thrust upon you with little notice. I can certainly sympathize and understand where you're coming from man. Your writing prowess is certainly missed during those instances where you're whisked away though so I look forward to your eventual return.

EDIT: To all Gantz players: There will be a limit of 6 to how every weapon found in the room. It'll be first come first serve, so if a player hordes all the weapons then that's just too bad.

EDIT no.2: As of 1.49pm (forum time) there are 3 X-rifles, 3 X-guns, 5 Y-guns and 4 swords left.

Um... Well... When I was about to post yesterday, my computer screwed up. My browser, actually. The post was gone and I was too frustrated to write another one right away. Now, I wasn't awake until a couple of minutes ago, but as you already covered everything from the song to the deployment of the weapons, and all that in less than twelve hours...
How am I supposed to get in, when the song marks the end of teleports into the room?

Nah, fuck my question. I already got an idea. But I'm still gonna grab some weapons, even if not right away, in this post. Just to let you know.

I'd do the weapon thing sooner than later. We have a dozen people in the room and just a few weapons left. Going out without one in Gantz is even worse than the russians sending out two people with one rifle in WWII (in Enemy at the gates).

Read the starting of the mission briefing again. I beamed you into the room... GM style! (which is another word for get in quick! LOL). Yup better get your weapon ASAP...

@dharmabums: No idea what was left at the time of my post. I get limiting equip but why not let ppl get what ever and just do the limit on the transfer. We never seen it in the manga either way but I can understand the gm's desire to change thinks up.

It's just a guess, but I think dharma wants to create turmoil in the room. The characters usually go for an x-gun & rifle. Some people take a sword as well and barely anyone wants a y-gun.
With just 6 of every kind and 12 characters they are bound to run out. 6 people don't have a weapon yet and there's only 1 x gun & rifle, 3 swords & 5 y-guns left. Some players might not like the weapons their character will end up with. Those characters might confront other characters.
Shakes things up a bit.

Hmm... as of now after taking Pal's post into account I now notice there is only 5 Y-Guns, 1 X-Rifle and 2 swords left in the apartment for the taking. The plot thickens.

I just thought making it random and unannounced woulda been more gantz like. Now it just seems the sole purpose of the noobs is to bolster the stats of the vets. There's already tension between the gantzers but the gm makes the call. .

Well isn't this fun already? The mission hasn't started and yet people are saying that it's not fair. Those greedy little vets, hording all the weapons. Nasty business isn't it... (well no one ever said i was a nice GM). Weapon limits were in effect during the last mission already (courtesy of Angryman). The difference between the last mission and the one now is that there are more players now.

I know some of you newbies are worried that it won't be fair, don't. I've already said that this was a short mission and trust me not everyone will get points. This mission was actually designed as an introduction mission for the new people and besides i prefered it if you guys took the time out to interact with the other characters... either hate them or love them. Work as a group or go solo, it's all up to you. You choose.

EDIT: As of forum time 5:12am (after reading mongo's last post) there is 1 X-rifle, 2 swords and 5 Y-guns left. One bike left too... have fun!
