(OOC: Lots of holes in your story there. The Gantz-ers who attacked the club were veterans, so they would have broken your wrist. Secondly knee to the groin doesn't work on a person using the Gantz suit, neither would punching him in the face. LOL. Good try though.

To both the vamps: I'll post something in the OOC thread later describing what happened at the bar later, so try to avoid mentioning it for now. Sorry.)

Just as Tetsuo is about to answer Ito comes back from the front of the van, holding a piece of paper. "Come on guys, you got work to do." says Ito as he opens the back door of the van which sends the rain rushing in. The two vamps follow him out.

Ito then hands the senior vampire the piece of paper. Tetsou reads it... There's a name and address written on the paper. Ito then starts talking to both of them, "It's your first job don't bloody f_ck up. Get to the address and find out what ever you can about that person and don't try to engage that person by yourselves. Stay there if you must but get me any info that you can dig out!" Ito then digs out a bottle of pills from his pocket and hand the pills out to Tetsou and Steres. They recognize the pills as the 'daylight' pills.

"That's should buy you guys sometime. I won't be coming with you all, i'll be escorting the men here to our safe house. You've seen the guy on the floor, right? He could be useful." say Ito before he get back into the van.

Tetsou hands the paper to Steres, whom promptly reads the name on it; 'Tomoe Shimada.'

Just when he turned to Steres to answer his question, his mouth already opening, Ito came back and interrupted them. Tetsuo smiled slightly and raised his eyebrows. What can you do.
He looked at the piece of paper, listening to Ito's instuctions. They had to check out a women? Why not send these guys? Tetsuo had hoped that they wouldn't assign them a tough mission at first, because the vamps were short on hands. But still...a stakeout? Let's just make the best of it. You never know how a situation will develop anyways. And look at it that way, at least they didn't send you to kill her.

Tetsuo thought about the job for a second, making a shopping list in his head, while he pocketed the pill and handed the paper to Steres. Then he looked at Ito "Can these guys provide some gadgets? Having an electric pick to get into the appartment without her finding out about it, would be good. Some bugs too, if you want us to listen to her as well. And a good camera/spyglass on a tripod with cables to hook it up to a tv, if they have any of it."
If they had more time to prepare, getting all these items wouldn't be a problem, but since they had to act fast, he had to make do with what he could get. In the worst case, they'd simply get some stuff on the way, so that it wouldn't turn into a complete amateur observation.
"Who is she anyways? Was she a member of the group that turned the club into a warzone?" He nooded into the direction of the club. How the hell did they do this.

Then he briefly turned and looked at his new partner to show him that he was interested in his opinion on the situation as well, before looking back at Ito.

The guy who was in the back, hears Tetsou's request and replies "What do you think this is? A gift shop? Why don't you change into a bat and sneak in!" The guy behind the wheel tells him to shut up and explains to Ito that they can't give away their equipment as they have a few more leads work on.

Ito, who's riding shotgun, looks back at the vamp couple pulls out his binoculars from his jacket pocket. "Catch" he calls out as he tosses it at Steres. "I'm not asking you to baby sit a house, ok. Just find out what you can. This lady gave us a house call before the attack, we tried following her but she managed to escape. She f_cking blew up a car in middle of a busy street just to avoid us so try to be quiet about it." Ito then bangs on the dash board and tells the driver to move.

"Just call me if you find out something."

The guy who was in the back, hears Tetsou's request and replies "What do you think this is? A gift shop? Why don't you change into a bat and sneak in!" The guy behind the wheel tells him to shut up and explains to Ito that they can't give away their equipment as they have a few more leads work on.
That guy started to annoy Tetsuo. He had seemed so nervous and scared at first, but now he was cocky.
Seems like you're not scared anymore.
Tetsuo hoped he'r run into this man again, so he made sure to remember his face.

Tetsuo stood there looking at the small binoculars while Ito answered him and the van started to drive off. If their job really had been to observe the appartment, he'd feel punked now. But they just had to break in. Of course the girl would easily figure out who was responsible. After todays events it was obvious. If she was smart she'd leave the place and change locations after every hunt.
A part of him hoped she did. Blowing up a car to get away was a good one. And if the vamps couldn't find her, they couldn't send him to kill her.
On the other hand was she connected to the attack. As a scout, to confim the target location and maybe to draw as many vamps away from the club as possible. It was even possible that she joined in on the attack afterwars. Tetsuo didn't believe they'd find leads in her appartment, so losing her trail could mean not getting to her team.

To make things worse, his violent side was rattling on the bars of it's prison, demanding all their deaths, her's included. Until now he had almost always managed to control his demons through willpower and the fact that he never let the hunger get too big. But the anger over the death of his father by the hands of a hunter gave the demons strenght. He couldn't be sure to stay in control in the heat of the battle anymore.

As the van turned a corner and disappeared, he turned to Steres "Feel up to a heist? We can take my car, it's parked out front."
It wasn't exactly his car. After he had lent his bike to one of the vamps he could stand, to do a job out of town, Tetsuo had gotten himself a rental. From a guy he killed in Yokohama. He extends his hands to finally introduce properly "Just call me Tetsuo, Yamashita-san."

OCC@omega: I originally wanted to let you go first since we skipped you. But I figured that the previous "scene" was already done with the van driving away. And in that situation my character should probably open our talk. Plus I had already in mind what I was gonna write. And my willpower is weak. There I said it *gg*
Still, I'm sorry. Hope you don't mind.

Steres was caught a bit off guard when he was tossed the binoculars, almost dropping them as they bounced on his hand when he first brought it up to catch them. Thankfully, his reflexes escaped his momentary stupor and caught them quite easily on the rebound, though he made a mental note to pay attention from now on. At least for the next couple of minutes, at least.

He had wanted to make some small talk but it seemed that Ito had finished his own conversation, cutting short any talk they might have had. Hearing the man from before seemingly taunt them, he felt a strange desire to cut him open but choked it back, not particularly appetized by the blood of the annoying. As he watched them drive off, he began to wonder why exactly they were standing out in the rain. You'd think they'd be given an umbrella, a rain coat at the very least, but no, they were just dropped in the middle of a street, getting soaked from head to foot.

Before he could voice his concerns, Tetsuo seemed to invite him to his car. Though he was throughly soaked already, staying in the rain seemed counter productive, eliciting the response, "Yeah, let's do that, senpai," from his lips as he moved to follow Tetsuo. Before they moved, however, Tetsuo extended his hand and formally(?) introduced himself, asking for Steres to cut the senpai honorific. Though he'd be rather reluctant, and uncomfortable, doing such a thing, Steres felt that their situation was an exception to his discomfort, seeing as Steres was actually older than Tetsuo. Thus, any discomfort seemed to dissipate from their relationship.

"Uh, sure, Tetsuo-san," Steres replied, taking his hand in a quick shake. "So, let's get going, shall we? People to stalk and whatnot. Wish they'd given us a photo or something though. She could have a roommate or whatever. It'd be sucky of if we mistook her for someone else." With this, he moved to follow Tetsuo.

OOC@Feanor: Don't worry about it. It's my fault for not posting for a while. Hopefully I can start posting in a quicker manner. ^_^

She could have a roommate or whatever. It'd be sucky of if we mistook her for someone else." With this, he moved to follow Tetsuo.
Tetsuo was glad that Steres took him up on his offer to drop the senpai talk. Back when he was an apprentice himself he had stubbornly stuck to it, although his sensei had told him to drop it countless times. It wasn't until he had told Tetsuo "Don't you know, kid. Never salute your superior or address him as such, unless you want him to get shot by a sniper", that Tetsuo finally stopped saying it. Besides the occasional 'sir' while saluting him, which made them both laugh every time.

But this was different. Tetsuo didn't feel that he deserved the respect. His own training had been cut short and he wasn't sure if he was ready to teach someone else yet. To be responsible for someone's life was nothing you could be prepared for. He thought he knew from caring for his sick mother, but he didn't. In this case, one of his mistakes could easily cost Steres his life, so he hoped that he wouldn't screw up.

Hearing Steres talk about their job brought Tetsuo back into reality. "Yeah, a photo would've been nice. All we know now is that she's female. I just hope she isn't home. Then we can get this break-in over with quick and maybe save the extra pill."
With this Tetsuo reached in-between the buttons of his shirt, pulling out a small pendant. He opened it and put the pill inside.

He was heading for a backstreet to reach the front of the club, because he didn't really feel like going through the club. The scenery was still engraved in his mind, with all it's gory details. He had noticed Steres going through the rubble of the club, retrieving his sword. And his tattered clothes were a dead giveaway too.
Tetsuo looked over to the club "I take it you were there when the attack went down. I came afterwards, so I don't know much. Can you tell me what happened?"

He had to use the time before arriving at the appartment to get himself up to speed. About this attack, and about his new partner as well.

He was following Tetsuo when Tetsuo began to ask about what had happened at the club. A reasonable question to ask, Steres thought, seeing as he hadn't been there but he would have thought that a higher up would have informed him of what had transpired. But he didn't mind answering the question, he supposed.

"Right," Steres thought as he thought of starting at the beginning. "Well, I was tending the bar, fixing drinks for people when the guards outside were taken out. We began to prepare for their assault but they caught us off guard with a smokescreen or something. I tried keeping out of the way until the smokescreen cleared so I could get a clear look around the place and make sure who ever I attacked was actually an enemy. There were about a dozen or so dead when I could finally see again, from a quick count."

Steres nearly tripped over a piece of rubble, catching himself and sighing slightly that he had managed to stop himself from falling face first into a puddle.

"Gotta be more careful. Where was I? Okay, after the smoke cleared, we tried to regroup, force them to attack us as a group, greater strength as a group then spread out, y'know? But one of those hunters had some kind of giant ape person like armor. I think it was a person at least. It could have been some kind of robot or something. I wouldn't put it past them with those freakin' suits and exploding guns. Anyway, that thing took out a few more of us and kept us separated. That's when Junji and Ito decided to jump in. Junji took on the ape thing by himself while the rest of us fought off the rest of the hunters with Ito. Ito.....did something and all the hunters were thrown back all at once. It was certainly something to see. Ape thing didn't seem to care though and kept going at us. Ito managed to kill one of them with his.....whatever, power or something, and Ito stabbed one through the eye.

"Those hunters are pieces of work," Steres said, smirking a little as they neared the car. "The one I was trying to take on almost took my head off with a haymaker. B@stard knocked the sword out of my hands and I had to fend him off with my pistol. You know handguns don't work on them? At most it's like a punch but without the bruising. They just get all breathless. At least that's what the normal ones do, my guy kept going even after I unloaded five shots in his face. He barely grazed my side and he broke one of my ribs. At least there was some fresh blood around. I think I'm still a bit sore though."

Steres began gently kneading himself in his previously broken rib, seeing if he was indeed still sore. He was glad to find it was mostly gone, save for a small bit directly above where he had been hit.

"Just a little, I'll be good to go by the time we get there. Anyway, while we were fighting, Junji managed to cut off ape man's arm and tried finishing him off. One of those hunters had some kind of big gun though and shot at us. At first it didn't do anything but suddenly a huge chunk of the ground just seemed to be crushed like a giant invisible paperweight just dropped in from the sky or something. That was more than the club could take and the front half just collapsed on us, though thankfully I wasn't too close to the front and only a few pieces of rubble fell on me. Can't say the same about the others, though. Then the cowards retreated by setting another smokescreen.

Sighing, Steres tried opening the passenger side door, which was locked. "So yeah, we only managed to kill two of them while they took out around 3 dozen of us, give or take a couple. Not exactly a proud day for the vampire race by any stretch of the imagination. But hopefully we can find whatever it is we're looking for at this girl's house. I'd love to put those hunters in their place after tonight. You mind opening the door? It's locked."

As he waited, he then added, "So, anything else you wanted to ask?"

As the pair made their way to the car, Steres told the events that had lead to the destruction of the club. In all the chaos after the attack, nobody had explained what happened to Testuo in detail. All he could find out was that the hunters did this. But he'd have asked Steres this question in any case. It was another good opportunity to learn something about his partner.
Steres gave him a detailed report of the events, showing him that Steres was observing and that he'd kept a cool head in the attack, despite being unexperienced.
Makes you wonder. If the attack hadn't created a shortage of hands, how much longer would they've had this guy serve drinks.

The car came into sight down the street. It was an old Ford Focus that was still in good condition despite it's outside appearance. The dark blue car had gotten a few dents and scatches along the way and was pretty dirty. Tetsuo fished the keys out of his jacket as they reached the car. He looked at his partner while they stood next to the car, before unlocking it. "What a crushing defeat. And with only two casulties on their side. You'd almost have to congratulate them for this performance, if the whole incident wasn't so alarming." He paused for a second "I don't have a high standing or rank in the vampire community, so I'm certainly not told everything." He sighed while opening the doors and getting in "But I've never heard of the hunters using a huge suit/robot. And I know of no incident where they took the fight to us."

This can't be good. Tetsuo was angry at himself that he hadn't been there. Steres report was good, but not the same as seeing it with his own eyes. He'd heard stories about Ito and Junji before, but had never seen them in action himself. Just like the big gun Steres talked about. He knew that it was some kind of area effect weapon, but this was the first time he had seen the extend of damage this thing could do. Not to mention the gorilla like suit that was completely new to him.
    You should've been there.
He started the car and checked the street before pulling out of the parking space. In a situation like this he made sure to obey the traffic regulations. He didn't mind fighting police officers if he had too, but there was no reason to attract their attention right now.
"Our guns work on them. But you have to hit them quite often before their gay suits stop working. After those leak some kind of substance, the bullets can penetrate them easily. And all their superhuman powers go down the drain. The trick is to survive until it happens." Tetsuo thought about how to get to the appartment for a few seconds before he steered the car in the right direction. "Let's hope we find some leads. They need to be taken care of quickly, before they make these attacks a habit".

"By the way, you did a good job back at the club. You faced a hunter head on for the first time and survived. What's more you managed to keep him occupied for a while." He didn't know if it meant anything to Steres but Tetsuo felt he should tell him. But right after he said the words he couldn't help but think. Was this a good idea? If Steres was the aggressive type, these word would mean nothing to him, since he hadn't killed his opponent. What was meant as a pat on the back could make him angry and fire him up. And what if he got cocky because he'd survived? Tetsuo should probably say something teacher like even if it was unnecessary. He coughed to prepare his voice, so that he wouldn't babble link an idiot. With a serious voice he said "But always remember this attack. Even a single hunter is a very powerful opponent. You have to be on your toes all the time and be sure to stay in control of your emotions. The vampires that let their instincts take over and charge straight at the enemies while screaming, like characters from a manga, usually die first."
He laughed, but not about this little joke. He had to laugh thinking about how ridiculous the situation was. He was telling his partner, who was older than him, something that was so obvious. Way to go.

As the car moves towards, both the vampires notice that the police, fire department and the emergency services are all around the streets of Tokyo. Ignore the authorities, the vamps continue towards their objective; Tomoe Shimada's apartment. Apart from the emergency services Tetsou notices that the streets seems less crowded at the moment. Tetsou turns on the radio in the car and finds out that the emergency services has released a public warning. A tropical storm has reached Tokyo with winds blowing at 111kph and has asked members of the public to stay indoors.

What would usually take 10 minutes seemed longer due to the rain. The apartment complex is quiet apart from a few people seeking shelter. Steres tries the binoculars but the heavy downpour obscures his vision.

"Yeah, I guess," Steres said as he watched the buildings that they passed, Though he was calm about it, he was a bit disappointed in himself for not being able to kill even one of those suited hunters. He felt that if he had been able to hold onto his sword, he would have been able to take out the guy who had been attacking him. Perhaps it would have taken a while but he was sure he could have beaten the man. But he hadn't and thus saw it as a loss. Not because he had fought him to a standstill and a tie was just as bad as a loss but because so many of his brethren had been killed and so few of the enemy. He had failed to avenge even one of his brethren and that in itself was a loss.

He was so involved in his thoughts, he almost didn't notice that Tetsuo had more to say. Listening to him, and hearing him laugh, Steres couldn't help but laugh as well, but for entirely different reason.

"Hahaha!" Steres laughed, a bit more exuberantly than was validated. As he calmed down, he said, "Look, Tetsuo-san, don't try so hard. I know we've been set up as senpai and kohai but I'd like to think of us as partners. I'm sure you've been a vampire longer than me but that doesn't mean I'm still a wet behind the ears child. I've got my fair amount of experience in life and death situations as well. So just try to think of me as a colleague or something, if you don't mind."

He then pulled out his Rubix cube and started messing with it, adding, "Or you know, whatever. I'll follow your lead and stuff, but that's mainly because I'm not too comfortable with the whole leader shtick. I'm not stupid enough to go running in against these guys anyway, especially after what I've seen they can do back at the club. What's with all the flashing lights?"

Steres commented on the lights that were flashing from the outside and looked up, seeing where they were coming from. Upon seeing so many emergency personnel, Steres commented, "Jeez, wonder what's up. I wonder if it has anything to do with the club. No, this is a bit too much for that." Looking towards Tetsuo, Steres watched as he turned on the radio and they learned that a tropical storm was hitting Tokyo.

"You'd think they'd have given us better warning than that. I don't watch the news, though, so I guess I wouldn't know." Through the rain they drove, them taking a back road towards the house, parking inconspicuously on a side road near the apartment complex. Trying to look through the binoculars, the rain obscured his vision so badly he could only make out he was looking at a window.

"Lot of good these do us," Steres commented as he threw them into the back seat. Sitting in silence for a bit, Steres finally said, "So what, you wanna just walk in the front door or something?" Opening the window and sticking his head out, he looked at the side of the building and noticed a fire escape. He then pulled his head back in, closing the window afterward.

"Or we could try sneaking into her room through the fire escape. That just might force her to attack us if she's home though. But if she's not, we'll be able to get in there and snoop around a bit. That might be harder if we walked right up to her door. What do you think?"

As he said this, he pocketed his cube.
