Thread: Gantz RPG off mission

11:50am(Tomoe)

The mention of the name Skittles bring a confused look on Yamamoto's face. He turns back towards Kimi and asks, "You been in the room the longest, have you ever heard of that name?"

Kimi with a pout still on her face replies, "No,... she's making it all up!" She kicks on the chair again, jerking Tomoe to the front. She start protesting again, "Just let her off here! She's probably a useless noob! We don't need her... " She sticks out her tongue at Tomoe.

"No can do, we are already here." Yamamoto turns into a quiet alley and stops behind a black van. 2 men step out from the van; a twenty something looking much like an otaku and an old pot bellied man probably in his late 60's. Kimi jumps out car and cheerfully greets them. They notice Tomoe in the car. The both place their hands on their holstered weapons. The old man shout out, "Who's the lady in the car?"

11:50 a.m.

Tomoe steps out of the car and looks at the four people. Death never seemed more certain. Even the vampires earlier weren't this intimidating. Even otaku and old men were intimidating when they were from the room.

She puts her x-gun in her pocket of her overcoat

Can the gun get through the suit? I don't know. Shit! What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?

Yamamoto's car blocked a good portion of her escape so she doubted she could blow it up as a distraction again. This left the hardest of all of her options. Talking.

"Um....Hi."

Tomoe reaches into her pocket to grab ahold of he sword and feels her cell phone next to it. She attempts to call one of the numbers stored into the memory but can't tell which one. The only people programmed into her phone was her brother and the people she hunted with. The thought of her hikikomori brother who hadn't left their parent's house in six years coming to her rescue briefly made her smile.

Someone please pick up and somehow find me.

She takes her hand out of her pocket, but leaves her cell phone on. She nervously rocks back and forth on her heels while trying to think of something to say.
"So...uh how's it going? Are you going to kill me?"

11:53am(Tomoe)

There's a 'WTF' look at Yamamoto's face. "Nobody is going to kill you, chill sis..." he turns to the guys and starts talking to them, "... cool it guys, she's okay. She's with 'Tokyo' and she found us their nest." Upon hearing that, the men ease of from their weapons. Kimi on the other hand starts ranting to the guys about why Yamamoto wants Tomoe around... it has something to do with her bust size. The guys laugh at Kimi as she pouts again. The old man walks closer towards the car and introduces himself, "Hi there... they call me 'Papa' and the oldest in the group, the guy there is Chow; he's a chinese immigrant (illegal though) and we are what's left of Hiroshima. So what's your name dear?"

As they talk, Kimi starts taking off her clothes to reveal her suit. She starts talking about her suit to Chow, she then gets into the van while Chow comes over. He waves you a 'hi' before talking to Yamamoto, "So what's the deal?..." He's chinese accent is hard to grasp but Tomoe manages. Yamamoto replies, "Just follow up on what we planned hit em' hard and fast. So you want in on the action, sis... we could use an extra hand."

The door of the van swings open revealing a figure clad with what seems to be equipment from the room. It's shape pretty much like a huge ape. It's something Tomoe has never seen before.

(Oh, the phone rings on the other side but no one picks ups... heh :P)

Global Event:

(OOC: @tsujide: i'm changing the detectivein your character sheet to inspector)

It's been few hours since the asylum burnt down. There still a few firemen still around putting out hotspots aroud the building. It was a disaster, the police didn't expect the whole building to blow up, the higher uppers were screaming for answers. Inspector Hosuke was in there with the forensic team combing the blast area. "Any signs of the doctor yet?" the inspector asks. A younger man probably in his twenties responds, he's assistant inspector Hoici, "No sir, So far there's no sign of a body. From what i gathered from the forensic team so far is that even with a blast that powerful, there would still be a trace of the man. Of course it's still early but i think we should consider that the doctor may have somehow escaped."

"I don't like this one bit, this crazy man goes on a rampage... get shot then blown up, still manages to escape? It's not right, something is wrong here. I hope you're wrong on this, Hoici... else we could have a serial killer running loose in Tokyo. Look i'm going leave this to you, report to me as soon as possible. In the mean time i'm going to try to dig up what ever i can find on this... Dr. Akuma."

11:54 a.m.

Tomoe blushes and bites back a stream of swearing at Kimi's remark. She had never considered herself well endowed concerning her breasts, so while embarassing it was still nice that a girl could be intimidated by her looks.
She bows to Papa and tries to think of how to pronounce the one mandarin phrase she knows for Chow.
"Um, ni hao. I'm Tomoe Shimada. I haven't been doing this long. Just three missions."

She looks over to the ape-like figure and can't help but stare.
"Does every city get different stuff? What's next...a gundam?"


11:55

After staring a little longer at the strange new suit Yamamoto's question finally sinks in.
"Oh! Vampire hunting. Yeah, sounds nice." She pauses at the oddly cheery tone of her voice. Tomoe feels a pang of guilt for jumping into killing so fast and easy. She then remembers that just a few minutes ago she was wondering if she had to kill the people around her now.
Am I becoming a sociopath or a sadist or something?

"Before we go can you give me some privacy to change. Oh, and weapons. I need weapons. And cigarettes. Do any of you smoke?" She chuckles at her nervous stream of requests. "Sorry, it's just, um nevermind."

She steps behind the van and makes sure no one watches her strip off her clothes and revealing her suit. It dawned on her that hiding to change clothes made little sense when the suit she wore let everyone around see every nuance of her body.

Tomoe emerges from her hiding place carrying her clothes but still wearing her gray overcoat over her skin tight suit. For some reason she doesn't feel as awkward as usual when people see her in her suit. She guesses it was due to being in missions with it, but deep down part of her wanted to flaunt the breasts Kimi mentioned as a small and petty revenge for the teenager's attitude.

In the meanwhile Andre moves towards a Geisha house somewhere uptown (recommended by his manager Max; "It's the best in Tokyo! You got to try it")

Andre casually pulls the hood of his new hoodie up over his head and begins to walk to the geisha house his no-show manager Max recommended. Sh!t I forgot the address. Andre had to pull out his cell phone and look up the address in his contact list. Andre's memory was getting real fragmented due to his lack of sleep. The address was buried among the nearly 2000 contacks there. He never did bother reading the manual so he had to swipe through the entries. While going through the entries he passed two members from KrazyBee (his gym), Maasaki, Shinya and Koutetsu. He thought about what just happened in the subway so he sent them a sort text message "Shinbashi House in 20, my treat." If he was gonna get attacked again he'd just assume have some of his closet friends arround. Those three would never miss a chance to party. He considered taking the subway but his growing paranoia convinced him otherwise so he just hailed a cab by raising his larger than average hand.

A cab pulls up and Andre gets in. he forgot all about Ryunosuke but he wasn't focused enough for that right now. He'll go after some much needed relation.

Shinbashi House was supposed to be an experience to remember or so Max said anyway. Andre thought they were probably just like every other cat house, give them enough money and they would suck the sh!t right out of your ass. Andre gets out of the cab and enters the establishment which is more like a small city. Normally they wouldn't take a new comer but when Andre flashes his I.D. they let him right in. It looks quite tradtional on the exterior but was anything but on the inside. The interior was filled with modern art scultues. The art reminded him of the ball in the nightmare room. When ask how many in his party and what services he needed he held up four fingers with his left hand then pounded his right fist in it indicatng intercourse would be required. Then Andre walked back to his assigned room. There he took off his clothes and hung them up but took the suit off and wrapped it over the sword making a small bundle he'd keep with him. Then he lay on his stomach with the bundle under his chin waiting for his boys and the girls to show up. If those boys don't show I'll do all of 'em myself.

ooc: heya back 4 today, next post around monday. @ dharma, in the manga it seemed that the knob controlled the blast area as Kurono popped a plastic bottle when he messed with it. No worries, I'll work it into this post.

Shin grumbled to himself as he realised the plates may not have been the best things to use for a target practice. As he looked at the text, a drip of sweat went down his temple as he took a hard gulp. He felt his heart beating rapidly again.

"They know who I am..." he thought to himself. Looking at the private number he realised he would not be able to form a reply. Whoever got to Isigi had power over Shin now.

Shin placed his phone into his jeans and pondered what he should do... who were the people who got to Isigi and what relation did they have to the ball in the room? All Shin knew were there were people out there that could be trouble, that people over Japan, not just Tokyo were being "recruited" into these battles, or games or whatever they were...

Shin had to figure out the link, why he was chosen and why this was happening. Either the heavies were silencers, were some kind of opposing team but Shin figured they werent on his side.
Shin ducked down low in his front room and watched for anyone passing through the window with the strange xgun at the ready. If no-one came by 11.30 he'd make a move to the Lion Beer Hall.

(OOC: Took me some time to get around writing. More to catch up than I thought. And then, another stress-factor is that today/tomorrow (depending on which side of the planet you live) is my 19th birthday, so... here it is and sorry for the delay.)


11:01am

"As long as I am allowed to wear what I want and it's coming up in very few days rather than weeks, I'm in."

Naomi crossed her arms and gave him a serious look.

"I mean it. I don't want to wait forever, so this tournament thing is better happening in the next two or three days. At the latest at the end of the week. Oh, and..."

She furrowed her brow.

"If you don't really need those 50.000 Yen, you better forget about them right away. They might come in handy for me and you should be grateful to be alive. Very grateful, actually."

The emphasis on the 'very' sounded pretty weird, as if there was a sarcastic tone in her voice that didn't match her facial expression. And for a moment, a sparkle seemed to return into her eyes, but the next instant, it was gone, and so seemed her interest in him.

"Are we done here or are you still useful in any way?"

Inwardly, she grinned cynically at her phrasing and the way it worked with the previous emphasis, and she wondered if he had any idea that she was still going to kill him for what he tried to do, no matter how useful he would make himself.

GLOBAL EVENT

11:30am
As Heindric sips his tea while traveling to Tokyo (riding first class), his phone starts to vibrate... it's another text message. He puts down his cup and reads the message. He smiles as he finishes reading it. Damn, This is starting to be the easiest job ever, thinks the German. Seconds later another message comes in. This time the message is from his agents at Tokyo.

"We have a reporter, who's working on a story about our friends. Apart from original target, there seems to be another name. Will follow up on it. What do we do about the reporter?"

"Bring him to our client's club. They also have provided a name. Tomoe Shimada. Find out everything about the person and give it to them. The more names we get the faster we can finish." replies the German.

12:06pm(Tomoe)
As Tomoe changes out of her day clothes, the men are busy planning their assualt on the club. The Hiroshima team proposes that since Tomoe is practically a newbie, she should stay behind and guard the entrance of the club, besides they need someone to guard their rear as the go in. Chow starts distributing the weapons out. He hands Tomoe an X-rifle. Yamamoto ask for the H-gun but is cautioned by Chow, "It's not going to do much good indoors. It'll probably bring the whole building down on us. Stick with the usual stuff, yamamoto." but yamamoto ignores him. "Just incase."

As they all gear up, Papa's already in the Van. "Come on, kids... time to go." Just as Tomoe is about to step into the van, she starts hearing the dreaded ringin sound inside her head... she calls out the the others, "Err... Ahhh... guys, I'm hearing that ringing sound again. I think i'm go..."

Tomoe isn't able to finish her sentence in time, as she finds that her surroundings have changed. She's now in the room with the black ball. Again, there are new faces in there.

11:45am(Andre)
Andre waits for the women and his friends naked as the day he was born, when the door finally opens. A girl, about 15-16, holding a tray of snacks and a pot of hot green tea stands at the doorway. She's shocked at what she sees in the room, a naked black man! She drops the tray and runs away screaming... much to Andre's discomfort, whom quickly gets dressed. What the F_ck! An old lady rushes in to the room, she's annoyed at Andre who's still putting on his clothes. She glares at him waiting for him to finish dressing before talking.

"I don't know what you are thinking but this is a legal geisha house. We entertain men by giving them company by singing, dancing and conversing not with sex! If sex is what you want i suggest that you move on down the road, mister!" She then shows him the exit, " please leave. Andre leave the place grumbling, apparently Max pulled a fast one on you.
(OOC: I you think there's nothing much left to do, Andre may move into the room but make sure you you put a reply here that you are beamed to the room)

11:36am(Shin)
It's 11:36, Shin looks outside and notices that there's nothing out of the ordinary. Sensing that it's ok to leave, Shin makes a dash to the Bar.

11:10am(Naomi)

Makoto answers back naomi nervously. "Heh.... don't worry about the money. But you know, if this works out it probably would lead to something long term. There's money to be made. I'll make the arrangements when i get home. I'll call you tonight to confirm everything with you. For now i suggest we leave, don't want the cops to be on our asses." Makoto then packs his laptop in to his bag again and rushes for the door. "Let's move partner... heh"
(OOC: Ok Naomi also has lots of time to go, if you have other things to do it now else you can do a time skip too)

With no immediate danger to his home Shin began to move out to the bar. The walk was uneventful overall as Shin travelled with his xgun in his shoulder bag just incase.

It took Shin about half hour, if just under to get to the Lion Beer Hall at the steady pace he was walking from his parent's house he guessed, but he wasnt looking at his watch.

Upon arriving, Shin paid a visit to the mens room. Once in a cubicle he began to think about what had happened to him so far today. He knew he had to share with the rest of the team about what he had learnt about the potential of there being other rooms with black balls and the seeming danger from whoever got to Isigi.

Thats if anyone even turned up or will turn up. He had no-ones number and they didnt have his. Shin handled his jeans pocket and felt the bulge of his mobile through it. At least he could remedy that problem.

Just as Shin went to look at his watch he felt a weird tingle, like goosebumps forming uncontrollably on his neck but there was no breeze. As Shin began to wonder what this was his ear popped painfully, leaving him paralysed and left hearing a strange sound...

jijijiji...

Suddenly Shin found himself back in the room, falling from his squatted position to the wooden floor with a bump.

"Oh Boy..."

11:11am

"Hm...", Naomi made at him calling her 'partner', and again, she chuckled inwardly when he spoke of 'something long term'. But she wasn't one to prove him wrong right there and then. Not yet. She'd let him work for her, use him to find those who deserved her wrath... and then he'd pay for his own foolishness. For a moment, it crossed her mind to take revenge on her classmates, too, for how stupid, how cold they had been, how they had treated her a few hours ago and how they'd undoubtedly treat her for days and weeks. But I can't kill them. I will...

When she had her plan for them figured out, she noticed that Makoto was at the door, seemed to wait for her. She made a gesture with her hand.
"I'll leave later. There's something I've gotta arrange here. Call me and tell me the details."

He looked confused but then shrugged, nodded, carefully pushed the torso of one of the guys away from the door, opened it and disappeared to the staircase.

Once he had left, she closed the door behind him and looked from one dead body to the other. Their injuries don't look like anything a human could inflict to another one. More like something from a science-fiction or horror movie... So, why don't I make it even more unbelievable and hard to understand. She took the lower body with visible disgust and put it in front of the door. Then, she took the torso and leaned it against the door, so that it looked like he was sitting there, except for all the blood and his guts hanging out. Important was that it seemed like nobody had left the roof since 'it' happened. Even if somebody would have wondered, it would make any kind of suspicion implausible from the start.

Pleased with the weight that was now blocking the door, Naomi decided that it was time to leave. She activated the invisibility again and went towards the edge of the roof, taking a long look down. Nothing to be afraid of, she told herself. The suit kicked in every time you needed it. Every time you wanted to jump, it did. This is no different from a mission, just another jump.

She looked in the direction of a nearby apartment building. I can make it. She took several steps back. I'll make it. She started running towards the edge, picking up speed. Just another jump. And she jumped. Naomi felt artificial muscles straining and pumping around her legs, launching her into the air, high above the ground, straight towards her aim. On the highpoint of her flight, she noticed that she'd land dangerously close to the brink. Two seconds later, she knew that she had been wrong, extended her arms... and missed the edge. She crashed into the houses wall and bounced off, pressing every bit of air out of her lungs. Fifty feet of free fall followed, fifty feet of uncertainty and a feeling that resembled the one she had had just before dying. Cold fear, sweat that left the pores on her forehead in the few seconds the fall really was, the seconds that seemed to be stretched to eternity.

Then, she felt her back crashing into the ground, felt... the ground cracking and giving in, a shallow, dull pain going through her body. Then, nothing. Silence. She was wide-awake, uninjured and sitting in a small 'crater' in the asphalt. Relief flooded her heart. Relief and a feeling of self-confidence. But mere moments later, it came to her that it must have made some noise and that a suddenly appearing crater arroused attention. Before she knew it, she was already on her feet and running, leaving the school and the surrounding buildings behind, taking the shortest route home. She didn't notice yet that her trousers were damaged.
