GWT-BETA-River Of Blood
Rio de Janeiro ("River of January", pronounced [ˈxi.ʊ dʒɪ ʒaˈneɪ.ɾʊ] in Portuguese, [ˈriːoʊ di ʒəˈnɛroʊ] in English), is the second largest city of Brazil and South America, behind São Paulo, and the third largest metropolitan area in South America, behind São Paulo and Buenos Aires. It is the state capital of Rio de Janeiro. The city was the capital of Brazil for nearly two centuries, from 1763 to 1822 during the Portuguese colonial era, and from 1822 to 1960 as an independent nation. It is also the former capital of the Portuguese Empire (1808 - 1821). Commonly known as just Rio, the city is also nicknamed A Cidade Maravilhosa, or "The Marvelous City".
Rio de Janeiro is famous for its natural settings, its Carnival celebrations, samba and other music, and hotel-lined tourist beaches, such as Copacabana and Ipanema. Some of the most famous landmarks in addition to the beaches include the giant statue of Christ, known as Christ the Redeemer ('Cristo Redentor') atop Corcovado mountain, named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World; Sugarloaf mountain (Pão de Açúcar) with its cable car; the Sambódromo, a giant permanent parade stand used during Carnival and Maracanã stadium, one of the world's largest football stadiums.
The city also boasts the largest and second largest urban forests in the world: Floresta da Tijuca, or "Tijuca Forest". and (almost connected to the first) the forest in Parque Estadual da Pedra Branca, or White Stone State Park. Galeão - Antônio Carlos Jobim International Airport connects Rio de Janeiro with many Brazilian cities and also operates several international flights.
Despite its charm and beauty, Rio is reputed to be one of the most violent cities in the world and motivated movies such as Bus 174, City of God and Elite Squad portraying severe social issues. Much of the violent crime is concentrated in the favelas or shantytowns but it also spills into middle- and upper-income neighborhoods. In Rio, unlike other major cities, many of the slums are directly adjacent to some of the wealthiest areas of the city.
But on this day the streets are eerily quiet except for a few people.
Could one of them bean alien?
Once again Diego finds himself in a strange far off land . As far as he can tell none of his compadres are here with him. Damn! Where's my crew? What's the deal with this sh!t? Diego kneels down and looks at the controller to see who else is here with him and what demons he must exercise. Diego is cautiously optimistic about the situation. Although he was successful the last time, he has no delusions of grandeur. Damn, are all those blips freakin' aiens? Not good...Diego pauses and stands up then he scans the person wander down below but doesn't see anything besides he doesn't care to put himself in harms way. Instead Diego yells out to the hunter to his west. “Yo holmes!, check it out eh!” Diego raises one of his rifles and points at the lone figure wandering directly beneath him.
Diego takes his rifle and pears at the hunter to see what he'll do. ()
Ester wakes up and realizes she's in a new place. She's on her hands and knees and asks quietly WHY?? WHY?? where is my peace?..After pondering for awhile she realizes that this is her fate and begins to feel she must carry on. She looks at the controller and sees there's work to be done, aliens to defeat. She stands up, takes a deep breath and heads to the south.
Ester moves south towards the human ()
She lay upon the garden shed floor struggling meekly as her powerful husband continued to force the blunt handle of the shovel against her throat. She felt vertebrae ‘pop’ as darkness fogged her vision.
She wasn’t struggling on instinct though as she had already decided long ago it was only natural for a woman to be unable to overpower her husband. The woman always died. Sure she could have grasped the garden shears beside her and lethally thrust them into his chest anytime however that would have been a special case of survival against the odds. A special opportunity to survive against the odds was a bad alternative to being able to add to the sad statistics of wives killed by her husband. Yah, she’d keep pawing at his wrists like an idiot.
A smile crept over his mouth as darkness engulfed her.
It had been a perfect life.
Fumi took an unneeded gasp of air before scooting back against the wall of the empty room with the black ball. She grasped the trinket necklace resting against her neck which she had filled with her blood twenty-one years ago as part of her blood pact to lead an exceptionally normal life as she took a quick moment to get her grounds with this new situation.
Adapting ridiculously quickly to the situation she got up, made sure her bathrobe was wrapped tight and ventured out to the hall to find a place to wash the grime off her face. Thankfully a sink was at the far end and she scrubbed and brushed with her nails till a song went off in the other room. She walked back while plucking a piece of her lovers bloody brain matter off her robes and raising it to her lips. It was salty… just like her lovers semen.
As Fumi admired the gun and suitcase rack while dabbing the bloody flesh against her lips as a natural lipstick she began to piece a probable scenario together in her mind. She had probably just been put unconscious and then her husband, deep in debt to organized, had sent her to some “battle island” as a payment where she would take part in some organized “battle royale” styled game for their fun.
She had always hated that movie as barely anyone was normal and those that most resembled normal were labeled as insane. Seriously though, what normal person would take on a whole corporation when the odds of surviving by just being last one standing were so much better? It was a neat premise but if everyone had just manned up and accepted the scenario while the insane ones tried to get off the island the movie would have been so much better.
Fumi flicked the brain matter on the ground and got dressed in one of the probably bomb-ridden suits. She then threw her bloody robe back on and grabbed one of the pistol-like guns as it could be better concealed in the robes. Certain she had grabbed all to be acquired here she headed back to the sink to check to confirm her impromptu make-up was perfect and the transfer started.
If the gantz ball was working correctly she missed any message of aliens.
Taken aback slightly by being seemingly teleported to a rooftop in Rio (she knew from her general studies tourism class) for a moment Fumi studies the surroundings and notices a suited man to her south well out of what she imagined pistol range was. Quietly she heads to the door to the lower levels and tries the lock but it doesn’t budge so she crouches to reduce the chance of being hit by a ricocheted and shoots the handle with her pistol. For a moment she seems sure the gun doesn’t work and then.
Adapting quickly to the destruction of the futuristic pistol she throws any conception of pistol range out of her mind, wheels, and takes a shot at the shouting man to the south before fleeing down the staircase. Glancing out of the corner of her eye on the way down Fumi disappointingly notes that the blast didn’t even reach his building.
(Time to lose the robe)
Musa finds himself engaged in another struggle between sanity and insanity. At this point he is starting to doubt his own sanity. He's not quite sure why he was called back so soon. Is it another time away from his regular group? Surely the black demon is not THAT cruel, but where is everyone? Before he sets out to find the others he gets on booth knees to pray. “Allah grant me the power to rid this land of the unholy beast.
When Musa looks at the GPS device he notices there are several hunters and several strange blips being displayed of he kind he's never seen before. What madness is this? Are we to fight so many with so few? That would be expected given the twisted nature of the black demon. There is only one way to be sure though. Musa turns to the east to face one of the blips but as he gets closer he notices it's just a person. But something just isn't quite right. Musa advances on the person with extreme caution. Then Musa notices a hunter approaching from the North, it's the large black women from the last time. At least there is something to find comfort in. Keeping the rifle on the person he glances at the large one and waves his open hand so she will not advance any closer. If she attacks now it may compromise everyones life.
Musa points the gun at the strange person and scans them. (10Xr:NC)
accidentally double posted. my bad.
Jack, by force of habit, fixes his glasses as he looks out into a field from the shade of many trees. The only thing holding him together is the mundane and after what just happened, there seems to be less and less every moment since he was shot in a completely different country. He grips his x-gun, which he thinks looks like a hair blower that would've disappointed customers... once. He looks around before he looks at his GPS, which he thinks looks like one of those old mp3 players. He notices several blips and wishes he paid more attention when his son tried to explain what a mini-map was in one of his video games. He remembers his family again and wonders if he'll ever see them again. After a few seconds..
..he starts walking of west towards the red blip by the tall building near R. Cruz E Souza. He grips his Hair Blower tighter. ()
It looked like the info Nia got from the other vampires was true, there were vampire hunters in Rio. Nia smiled to himself how his expenses would be sorted on return to Shibuya.
Nia rolled himself up a chocolate flavoured rolly and spotted the large female from the hunt he witnessed in Turkey. Nia grinned to himself as he took his zippo from his suit trousers pocket and lit up, taking a long relaxing drag. This would not be another wasted airplane journey. This time he'd join in the action.
Nia jumps down from the building (10V, R2)
Musa watches as the strange person suddenly spin around and head directly north to the other hunter. He is unable to get a scan. Ahhh! Is the person reacting to my presence? This is not normal. Can they really see me? Musa lowers his rifle not knowing if the person could see him or was there something else going on here??? Musa yells at the hunter though he still doesn't know her name.
Quickly, scan them! Somethings wrong with them!
Musa aims with his X-rifle fearing the worst, but doesn't shoot. "Quickly! they may be an alien!" ()
