Thread: Gantz Mission 3: Aftermath

Andre looked up at the ominous sphere as it spits out what appear to be scores and insults for each of the surviving participants of this twisted nightmare. It made a sickening sound like a deranged pachinko game straight from the bowels of hell. Andre's pent up frustration boils over and he speaks out.

What...in...the...f_ck...is...this...sh!t...here.. .!?! Are you freakin' kidding me!?! Andre rises to his feet with the sword firmly gripped in his hand. Somebody better start talking here, somebody better start explaining what's this sh!t is all about.

Andre advances toward the sphere pounding the sword in the palm of his open hand. As Andre reaches the sphere he even thinks about planting a kick at it but instead spins around and says to the others, So you think I'm a freakin' pervert huh?..Then Andre extends the blade and points at each person in the room and scans the room from left to right. Andre then says, Yeah I like p_ssy SO THE F_CK WHAT!?! It's what every man wants, no matter what they tell you. Guys like p_ssy unless you're gay of course. Are you gay 'boy scout”?, How about you “Otaku boy?, And you " chimne”? You “choco" or what ever the f_ck it called you. Andre goes on, Am I the only man here!?! I bet that psycho bitch got more d!ck than all you muthers f_ckers.

Know this, Andre's not one to let others dictate his life. From here out I'm lookin' out for me and only me. I'm out! Andre hits the controller and exits the room cloaked...or did he?

Sean could only look at Shin as he panicked out about if he was dead or not. Sean wanted to say or do something to comfort or at least help Shin feel better; but comforting wasn't one of Sean's strengths. Sean could only sit back and think what now.... is this it?? am I done and I get to have a normal life or from now on I got to risk my life for no good reason. As Sean continued to think on, he doesn't notice Shin going into the main room. Moments later Andre's angry rant snaps Sean out of deep thought mode.

Sean bursts into the main room only to catch Andre finishing his rant.

From here out I'm lookin' out for me and only me. I'm out!

"Wait Andre hold up!!!". But before Sean could say anything else Andre disappears. Sean could only look at everyone with a puzzled look on his face and simply say "what the hell just happen??".

Shin took down a hard gulp as he was frozen to the spot after the Big Guy's rant. "I'm not..." he mumbled near silently, blushing as he looked over to Tsundere and Tomoe.

"Well whatever, I know I'm an Otaku and I'm not going to let anyone rip into me because it." Shin hooks his thumbs through his suit's braces and looks down at the floor, then at the Controller strapped onto his wrist.

He noticed the Big Guy used it to vanish from sight. Relief washed over Shin as he realised he didnt have to walk home in a hospital gown or vinyl suit. He could tell from where Roppongi and the Tokyo Tower was that he could probably get home in half an hour and if he could use the Controller it wouldnt matter if there was any drunks out in the night.

Shin glanced back at the three veterans briefly as he studied the Controller.
"By the way," he spoke as he looked back down, "I'm still waiting for an answer off one of you three to see if I can walk out of here without dying or my mind being wiped. I dont care what the Big Guy does, if he turns into a cabbage that's his fault but I dont want to."

Shin pressed a button on the Controller and a menu of three options came up; Timer, Map and Stealth Mode. Shin smiled with reassurance to himself at the last option.
"Well, can I go now?"

Dino:
Dino stood up from where he sat and finally spoke out, "As a group we have not done quite well, we have at least 5 dead back there. I don't know about you guys but i think we have to be better the next time. Now that we are done here we have to consider training together. Nobody's gonna keep covering your asses all the time, especially the vets. It's tough enough just to keep ourselves alive."

He walked towards the ball and touched it before turning back to the group. "If you guys value your second chance in life, then do ask i say and work together..." but before he could continue with his speech a loud laughter rang out loud behind him.

Takezo:
Takezo couldn't help but laugh at Dino's speech. "That's a nice speech there,... choco-boy," replied Takezo as he stood up and moved towards the ball before sitting himself on the black ball.

"Why should we even bother listening to you? Do you think you're our leader or something just because you have the highest points? F_ck you. If we need a leader it certainly wouldn't be you and it certainly wouldn't be any of you so called vets." Takezo took a puff from his cigarette to calm himself down as he felt the surge of excitement come over him. This was his moment to discredit them and he was enjoying every moment of it.

"Don't you @ss holes think that's it's time for you vets to come clean? Ever since we all got here, you all have been keeping secrets from us (the new guys). But is suspect you all are doing that to control us, right? Keep us out of the loop. It didn't occur to me why, until the points started showing up. You b@stards want the points all to yourselves right?"

"Why else would you have kept the points a secret until the very last moment."

With a still puzzled look on his face Sean could only chuckle and say "whoa what did I miss; you know what don't tell me". Sean leans on the nearest wall wondering what was going to happen next. As Sean let his mind wander Dino stood up and began his speech.

Sean could feel himself become annoyed at what Dino and Takezo said. Before Takezo could continue Sean interrupts.

"On all honesty the both of you are right. Kid, it wasn't right of them not to tell us about the points. But they had their reasons; they needed the points because if they didn't the ball was going to kill them; something like that can happen to us and if I was them I would probably do the same thing. Dino you're right too, we need to work as a group and get better with the weapons and suits but to tell you the truth in my opinion you haven't done anything that qualifies you as a leader. It seems to me you left that burden to someone else. But all bullshit aside, I get this feeling that this "mission" was cakewalk compared to whats to come".

Sean then pushes himself of the wall and walks towards the crowd and looks at Dino. "So know anywhere good to train??".

Takezo
"Train with them? You're a bigger fool than the rest! HAHAHA... don't you know? They're still keeping secrets from us."

Takezo took another puff before continuing his attack, "If the were genuine with their offer wouldn't they have told us about the man in the ball by now, but i suspect that you wouldn't care. You're just a sheep... (OOC: get the pun? Sean the sheep = Shaun the sheep!) For me i'm leaving too. I'll get the answers my way. Don't come to me when you get in trouble because of them, i'm not going to get my hands dirty for these vets."

Takezo takes one last puff from his cigarette before flicking it towards Dino's direction, then take a the path towards the exit of the apartment.

Dino:
The cigarette bounces of Dino's suit and annoys him. "Look..." he says to Sean, "just ignore him. Guys like him, they die fast. If you want to train with each other i guess we have to start exchanging our numbers. I never asked to be a leader and i don't want to be a leader but i know that we need to work together... as a group. Once we have an open communication with each other, we can decide who's gonna lead."

Andre shook his head in disbelief as he listened to the others trying to explain their actions. He digest what the others just said hoping to get an idea of who or what wars behind this insanity but instead only got confirmation of his initial gut reaction. This really was every man for himself.

I gotta get Ryu's help. He won't believe me but I got no where else to turn.

Andre finally decided to leaves

Shin became annoyed at being ignored again, especially when he just wanted to go home. He sided with Sean on the discussion going on, but he came into the room with just a gown on, he didnt even know his mobile number off by heart or anything, just his house number and he never picked that up because all his friends called his mobile, just cold-callers and salespeople asking for his mother called the house.

He got sick of saying his mother had died and for them not to call back, but they always did. Its like they didnt care what Shin had to tell them, just like the various punks in the room with him now. Shin scrunched his eyebrows together and through squinted eyes asked one more time, putting on a loud teacher's voice so to cut through the ignorance he was getting;

"I SAID... CAN... I... GO... HOME... NOW?! I dont have my mobile phone on me but I dont live too far away. Theres a bar near me, the Lion Beer Hall, I say we all meet outside there tomorrow at a certain time. I'll have my mobile on me and we decide what to do when we're all together."

(OOC: I'll be closing this thread by the end of this week to make way for the off mission thread. So this is your last chance to post before we move on)

Dino looked at the agitated guy and replied, "Take it easy! We all want to go home too, so just wait till for a while more. Ok, we'll follow this guy's suggestion and meet at the Lion Beer Hall tomorrow- i could use a drink anyway - say around 12 pm? It'll be better if we all could exchanged numbers first, that way we'll know of any change of plans. If you can't better be on time!"

It felt odd not being the emotional one in the room. She knew she should feel worse than she did. After all, Koi was her friend. They never talked outside of missions, but after surviving two of them with him Tomoe grew attached to him. She thought the least she could do was cry. Awkwardly, Naomi already had that covered. The fact that she cried for Koi more than Tomoe made her feel slightly ashamed.
"It's okay. I...I shouldn't have put all that on you. I'm sorry. It's not your fault. I knew he was going to die when I realized he didn't have his suit."

She put her hand on Naomi's head and tried to think of something positive to say. Despite her grattitude of being alive she couldn't put it into words or make anyone else feel the same way.
Shin, fortunately, came up with a good idea as well as an ice-breaker.

She tilted her head by Naomi's ear and told her her phone number. Naomi was someone she was comfortable with, but it still felt strange. As she thought more on the subject, Tomoe decided that being in contact with the others might be a good idea. In battle they were all alone so it made sense to rely on one another whenever they could.

She cleared her throat and spoke her name for anyone who may have missed it or forgotten. "Tomoe Shimada, uh, please don't call me 'Stripper'."
Tomoe recited her cell phone number for the others. "Everybody doing their own thing hasn't done us any good, since I'm the only one alive from two missions ago. Shin might have the right idea. I'll be there tomorrow."

Both Dino and Naomi seemed to be having trouble. Naomi, with her bitterness over the assault and Dino with the death of his wife and children. Tomoe thought they deserved more support than she could give.
Both knew her enough to know she preferred to be alone so she assumed they would know the signifigance of what she said.
"Naomi....Dino....let's go home."
