"finished" could mean all and nothing, it's only an assumption of the Gantzers that "finished" means "you're free", I can bet whatever you want that it's only an assumption and that the reality will be harder. What we know for sure is that with the first option one is freed, what are the conseguences of that "finished" is all to be seen.

Gantz suggested to Itzumi to go for a killing spree to gain more skilled players, and it was the price to go back in the game. As a conseguence Reika died. The massacre was planned by the man in the Gantz ball and executed by Itzumi, this is why I wrote that Reika's death is a conseguence of Gantz's plans.

    This is factual.

    3. Gantz really needs some champs.
It doesn't work in that way, Gantz revives only who is asked to be revived from the memory banks that stores the informations from the last transfer. If he wanted champs without following (some...) rules he could have simply revived the good players that died during the game instead of choosing from the ones that died in real life...
I don't think that Gantz can read minds 'directly' with supernatural powers, Sure it read minds during a transfer and can manage memories in that way, and the device in the brain should be more like a 'surveillance camera' than a mind reader, but in any case, in order to bump down a gravestone on the topic, well, if he can read minds it's a nonsense to ask Reika for a name... Just read her mind, simple as that...

About the 2 Kuronos and the transfer, there is a lot of literature about teletransport, in Star Trek the informations are stored in the memory banks of the teleporter exactly like in Gantz and it is the way Montgomery Scott survived 75 years stored in a teleporter.

In any case it's obvious from the beginning that Gantz acquires the informations from the player and simply replicates it in a copy that is not even an exact copy (for example the new copy doesn't have scars or illness, vampires don't burn in the sunlight etc.) so he can make all the copies that he wants: just a new body with the memories stored from the last transfer from a living brain. This makes also the full transfer of the bodies from the battlefield redundant and insignificant (he should need only the brain because the body is brand new every time)

what's the point of being free if you don't have any knowledge or weapons to fight during katastrophe. That's as good as signing a death wish. Nobody in their right mind would choose option 1 at this point...

No one knows what Katastrophe is, only speculations.

I'd love to see the 2-Kuronos scenario not turn to shit, but it could still be likely. A way to show what flaws our future technologies will have when such scenarios might really happen; a manga is like a good book for Oku (with a bit of culture, you'd know that human society has been portrayed as animals for more than centuries; he likely was a fan of such authors and this is what influenced Gantz to be what it is), and he's not taking this story lightly (he's not aiming for the type of story 95% of the teenage readers would love).

Been a while since I last posted here, so felt like putting up a lot.
But Kurono-Klon unlike pretty much everybody else, already faced the cloning problems-real one is alive conflict, not first hand, but second hand, when he was living with kishimoto.

It's not really the same when it happens to you.
He has no money, no place to go, his girlfriend is already dating him and he can't go to school either. Someone is already living his live, and unlike kishimoto he probably won't be as happy about it.

Not to mention that this was not a fluke. Reika did it and that gives the Kurono another person he can direct his anger at (besides the other Kurono that's living his life).

I mean everything could happen. This Kurono might swallow Reikas explanation and become her pet, or he might not appreciate what she did. The only thing that's quite certain is the fact that we'll get some violence out of this down the line.
Just like we can be pretty sure that the tokyo team will have to do some fighting soon, whatever the katastrophe may be (unless Oku wants to end he manga now).

Gantz does as he damn well pleases, he has been known to change the rules in mid-game for no (explained) reason at all. He didn't have to revive the person Reika asked for when he gave her the person she really wanted. I bet he found it more suitable/entertaining/erotic to throw another Kurono into the mix and throw the cast through an existential loop while now being equipped with two daredevils. I think he intentionally "glitched" when Reika asked for Old Man the first time.

Assuming he's capable of reviving good players on his own (i.e. not forbidden by an even bigger douche ball), you still have the issue of what he considers "good players". For him "Good Players" could be the people who didn't just die in the latest mission. Finally you have the issue of the players themselves. Would you want to fight through 100 points when you noticed that Schlomo who was just killed last mission is still walkin' when no one revived him?

Theres an interesting point about the Kurono clone having no money, no place to go and such. He'll have to stay with Reika to survive but I also believe that this Kurono will go to Germany after a discussion with the ball-guy. He doesnt have any money to go (on a similar point, how does Kurono, a 17 yr old in high school with no job pay for his apartment and food and such? I think he has rich parents and an allowance...), so I think Reika will fund him to go, but I dont see her paying her newly hard earned clone to just leave so I think she'll be going to Germany too.
Also, I dont see it happening too soon as the new Kurono has to realise first that the first Kurono is around and living his/their life. I also foresee some chapters where Reika tries to get it on with Kurono ala Kurono-Kishimoto circa v2, but with Kurono as Kishimoto.
