Maybe that "FINISHED" stuff is about getting rid of Cherry (letting go or killing, who knows) so then there will be an "empty space" in the team for a an ol' alive/death member that was such a |-|@><Z0|2!!!111 in his days. And now Gantz will have an uber team to pwn those aliens.
So now it's only time to discuss about 'finished how?'... I'm prone to a transfer to nowhere, but probably it will be the head blowing off by the explosive charge (that is more in Oku's style) or maybe something funnier... Could Cherry use his powers on the man inside the ball ?
From now on, for every hour that we don't have any Gantz spoilers to discuss about... God kills a kitten! o.O
By the rules of scary media, Cherry is now viable for killing since he's "No-Longer-A-Cherry".
As for Sakurai being able to use his psychic ability on Gantz, I doubt it. When they first entered the Gantz Room, they said that they weren't even able to see through the ball. I'm pretty sure it applies to the rest of their abilities as well.

I think the reason why the transfer started earlier in the battle was because the Katastrophe counter reached zero. "Finished" means finished the training session.
You know how Gantz played that song from that old exercise show at the beginning of every mission. I think that might be an indicator that the previous missions were all a sort of "Boot Camp" for the real battles.
Meh...just another Gantz theory.
We'll have to see what "finished" means.
