Inaba looks pretty badass this chapter with an arm missing. RIP Inaba.
So much for not using hunter weapons. Vampire pride goes out the window now. Why are Reika and Nishi the only intelligent people on the Tokyo team?

etufo: HS is most likely going to die sooner or later. Who will kill the cool character killer?
Popo: well, obviously going by that logic, HS will have to kill himself...
@Morten:The statues at the trevi fountain aren't that big either...but it seems the aliens that took their shape can change their sizes like the Tengu & Inugami could.
I hope we can see the Boss face in this chapter...
@scriver: Indeed, his suit is still functional, but that doesn't matter against this kind of aliens isn't it?
They can pass pass through functional suits...you can see Inaba's guts in that last pic.
Inaba will kill the Boss with only a torso to one up Katou.
I can already see how the boss will be defeated. After all the minor aliens are destroyed, the remaining survivors will all use BFG/X-rifle and attack the boss together. I can so see at least two double page panels for this awesome ownage.

Damn... I didn't really take a very close look at that pic, you're right Shani. Inaba's guts are spilling up a bit, and his legs look fairly far from his upper half. R.I.P. Inaba, useless bastard.
Suits are pretty useless then, in this mission. Well, for protective purposes they are, but they would still be useful for increasing strength, the cloaking device, giving Gantzers better agility and stuff.
Tonight they'll dine in hell!
I expected a thunderous applause after the news of Inaba's death.
Dude should have died during either the Dino or Oni Mission.
haha, holy shit, Inaba's death so epic and ironic. i love it. Oku at his best.
I don't think Oku just randomly decided to kill Inaba. I'm not sure how much of the story he's had planned for how long, but Inaba's death is a perfect example of how the guy still manages to surprise.
For so long, Inaba has lived, despite the fact that he's been so incredibly useless. Let's recap: he only tried to look cool for Reika in the Dino Mission; did nothing in the Ring Alien Mission; turned on Kurono during the Tae Mission, just because he was jealous of him; tried to act like a bad-ass during the Oni Mission only to fail miserably... Then he finally respects Kurono, acknowledges him as a leader and even shows up to help on the night Kurono gets killed. Doesn't do much in the Nuri Mission; tries to inspire the team only to nearly get himself killed... And now, in the face of this new mission, he cowers some more, which leads to the old man's death.
For all this time, Oku has kept Inaba alive and some fans (me included), still had a slight hope that he would finally improve. And now, at the moment Inaba FINALLY grows some balls and shoots the living hell out of those aliens - he suddenly gets killed with one swift stomp.
I love the irony. So far, I haven't seen any other manga besides Gantz that has really kept me wondering about who lives and who dies. No character is safe, whether they be a main character, a bad-ass, useless people, young, old, potential or no. Everyone can die.
Of course, I'm very glad that anything to do with Inaba is now history. :P
