^Hmm, that's reasonable, but what of the lights off and the cut song?
02-13-2009, 05:39 PM
would it be reasonable to say Gantz itself is being attacked?
All the Gantzers being sent to stop the attack.
is that city near the Vatican?
02-13-2009, 05:43 PM
^Yes, it's around 1km away from the Vatican.
The attack theory could be true, but I don't think so, because the ball was still able to summon them and give them the guns.
Now if the ball had only summoned them, then I'd be ok with the trap theory.
For those who are not familiar with, it's a theory that Gantz has been hacked and made to send the other teams to a slaughter. As I said, i don't think so, because of the presence of the guns, but it's just another theory.

well cant we take out the hacking part of that theory and just say its a power shortage er something along those lines.
I mean if Gantz is controlled by humans their not gonna care about the song and all of the other stuff..
theyr gonna want to be saved ASAP..
but if it is.. what if there is super gantzers that have all the powerful gear .. like actually trained soldiers to use it.?
Do you follow me?
02-13-2009, 06:00 PM
^I don't think the humans that made Gantz are all about saving mankind, but that's just me.
As for not caring about the song, then there should be no song at all, don't you think?
And yes, certainly we follow, especially if we think about the first teams, that might have had better info since it was the beginning and shit. There's also the matter of people in Germany very likely knowing more about it. The guy who showed Kikuchi the factory, for instance. They know at least something the Tokyo team doesn't. Nishi also didn't mention for sure that gantz was man-made, he only mentioned that someone posted it on the web - the whole thing about seeing one of the balls being delivered to an apartment in Brazil ^^ - but Kikuchi had access to people who were 100% sure of that info and could prove it by showing the factory.
And deviating a bit, I think it's lovely that we still are unclear to most of Gantz mysteries. we know it's made by man and that's it, we still don't know the why, how and etc.

Haha! yea i agree with you .. mystery is one of my favorite things about this story.. @_@
anyways okay well.. The song has some meaning to it.. all the noobs are bewildered by it and it kinda describes their new life..
what about People sent to Gantz IMO they have become slaves, I also think the people controlling gantz are their to save humanity. Why else would they have created it?
and would the Beginning gantzers had actual information?
02-13-2009, 06:32 PM
The first team, maybe.
An hypotetical situation: the first team was of specialized people, that trained for it and shit, but when it came down to the hunt, they didn't fare well enough, they might have thought it was ok to die, that it was their job. The next teams then were a psychological experiment; they had already died, were given a second chance, but had to follow the ball's orders. They owe the ball their lives, but at the same time, their drive is to get free of such a hateful situation, insane, and so there's the motivation of survival, freedom and in some cases - such as goody goody tokyo team - revivals.
As for why create it, well, could be for the greater good, but could be for amusement too, or could be to try and gain control of the earth, or try and take control of whatever planet or natural satelyte these aliens might come from. Lots and lots of possibilities...

I guess what can be the song in other cities, we saw that in Osaka it was the "Doraemon" them if I'm not wrong... What in Berlin ? Heidi ? I hope in Italy there isn't something from Cristina d'Avena (You can't understand...)

I bet the song would be "It's a Beatiful Day" from Mr Roger's Neighborhood in the US.

Hahahaha, now that you mention it... I wonder what would be the song in Brazil; maybe "é ritmo de festa" (something like "this is the rhytmn for party"), a real crappy song played in one the most watched shows around. But I'm sure it'd be as ironic as "a new morning of hope" or "beautiful day".
