Nop, they call it "Black Candy Chan".Did Osaka ever refer to their ball as Gantz?
Gantz is also a nickname...it was the name of a character of an old japanese series. He also gave points like the black sphere does.
And Black Candy...well, the black spheres look like giant black candys...
Am I the only one thinking that after seeing how the suits fair they oughta have Halo style energy shields? That be kinda awesome if they did....
After re-reading the chapter, I've noticed something about the statues. At least, the Angel-statues, not the Poseidon-like-things.
Does anyone think that they're doing an unnatural amount of damage to the Gantzers? Even if they can cut through suits, we don't see the movement at all. All one of the statues does is land on an Italian Gantzer and he just kinda explodes. Then there's Kurono and Katou's counter-attack with the Gantz Swords: by the looks of things, Katou's strike makes sense. He strikes upwards, hits the statue's leg and the sword breaks. But Kurono moves the blade down, the other statue grabs it between it's toes and rips it off somehow... But the blade is held at a really weird angle...
The overall weirdness of the Angel statues movements lead me to the following possibilites:
#1: They have a similiar psychic ability like Nuri in his demon-ish form.
#2: Their movements are so fast, they're completely invisible to a human (making it absolutely impossible to defend against them)
#3: My favourite theory: the statues do damage to everything they even touch. Which would explain why the Italian Gantzers are dying this quick. It would make this mission very interesting and somehow, it seems like Oku's style to me.
They seem to have a hell of strenght, they hit the Head of the hunters, but due to the suit power all the hit goes directly to the upper body, breaking it appart.
Why just the legs? it seems more practical to me than attacaking with the arms...anyway...a lot of them have music instruments and they don't want to lose their design...hehe...i don't think all their power is on their legs.
It could be also somekind of Psychic attack, but after how their skins were capable to resist and break some Gantz swords, then i'll go with the Incredible strenght.
Personally, I want to see a UK team. The US has Chuck Norris, but we have Ross Kemp!!! (non-UK people - google him up)
Ross Kemp is biologically INCAPABLE of mincing.
Ross Kemp refuses to call pinck by its name. Instead he calls it very, very pale red.
