Thread: Does anyone think Gantz got wack?

^ Yeah but if you also didnt notice, the power wasnt working in the apartment, gantz didnt do any of its usual antics either, it just opened up so they could get weapons and sent them, there wasnt really time for any dialouge or anything since they were sent so quick, plus now they're fighting giant statues in rome, how can you complain?

Rushed? Not really and plenty of games started with one chapter of them going into the room like the one that intro'd most of the current team. I will say this though, the Nuri mission seemed rushed. I hate to say it but it could have done with another maybe ten chapters or so to showcase the Tokyo team's exploits during the Osaka team's because I don't buy several members not killing anything, with THAT amount of monsters they'd have t in self defense, even though the Osakan's made it clear they wanted the points for themselves. Because when I saw the scores I was kinda pissed at how low several of them were. After Katou got his balls back and decided to help people, there was no one in danger anymore conveniently. I know the common thought is the Nuri arc was too long, but I thought it was too short honestly. I hated the chapter by chapter wait as long as anyone, but after it was over going back and rereading it was really enjoyable(to me at least) but it was so eclectic at best.

I only have one other thought I wanted to elaborate on as to a shift in Gantz but it is one that Izumi brought with him and that's the shift to action. When I originally got into it I got into it for the horror aspect since I'm a bigger horror fan then action one. And Gantz always succeeded and still does since they fight "monsters" that often seem un-killable and the series is very big on "anyone can die-EVEN YOU!! WOOOoOOooooOOOo!" but lately people are driven by the action in Gantz. I recall people bitching when the Sadist Three fought the kitsune and vampires and people bitched the action wasn't EXTREME and BALLS, but I was not bothered by it since I never really read Gantz for the action. The Osakan arc brought EXTREME action with it though-would ANY of the Gantzers ride the cycle then hit a ramp and jump out shooting? HELL NO! Because it's impractical and is dumb, but as far as action goes that was most definitely-EXTREME and BALLS! So to me that has been the biggest shift that things keep getting more and more actiony. Its not a complaint since the classic horror aspects remain and since no matter how badass the action gets and character can die for any reason like in an action flick. Except Inaba who wears Plot Armor of Bullshit.

Point taken, lol at the Inaba sentence, but I'd love to see a Gantzer hit a bike over a ramp and jump out shooting! Thats just how I roll, sorry

In regard to the shift in the plot. Umm i'd say its moving along accordingly. Its clear this a build up to (possibly) finale, according to the latest chapters.
