^The invisibility would make him invisible to the people, but not to the cameras.

When Nishi came back I thought to myself "Excel-Excel must be happy as hell. I was just happy there was someone other than Inaba for me to hate. But looking at the full body of work, Oku has created a new type of protagonist for me anyway. The most lowly character is the one driving the story forward. The Kurono we all love wouldn't even exsist without Nishi. Everyone else stands around with their thumbs up their ass waitimg for a sick twisted little middle schooler to tell them what to do. And when he does talk it's usually another lie or half truth. Yet they keep coming back. I just find that funny as hell.

^on the extra cannon fodder theory: That would suit nishi perfectly. He'd have the luxury of seeing them die twice. Knowing him, he'd probably cloak and stalk em until he finally saw an alien chew them over twice.

I still don't get, why he spares miss piggy. Of cause she didn't see anything besides somebody, who survived a fall from 3rd or 4th flour and shitloads of exploding heads....but ye.

^Meh Nishi and all this piggy thing is starting to make me think of nishi as a kurono gone bad - the kind of person he could have become if the buddha arc and tae had not happened. Of course hard-ons over killing cats is purely nishi-esque, but well, Nishi seemed to enjoy being gantz (even though it was because he enjoyed seeing people die), and he was marginalised by his class as well, if not as hard as kurono was. Well the ressemblance between kurono and izumi is more obvious, Izumi being a kurono who came to enjoy the hunt and lived for it.

^But in Izumi's case there was also his arrogance and his skills.
Though we can know for sure that he had morals once, since he offered himself to be killed by Kurono, and he got out of the room for a reason in the past.

^bleh we've argued this before, at length, i can't remember where. Just a refresher, Someone argued that izumi's skill and arrogance stemmed from his past experience in gantz. If kurono stuck to living for the hunt, Izumi could have been where he was headed. It's not just izumi. NKG as well. They enjoy the hunt, and did it for so long they got acquired skills, but also very big heads in the process. It kind of flows naturally. "I'm so pro at this, y'all can sit back and watch".
I fail to see how "experience and arrogance" is a "but" to my argument...

When I said skill I meant like they are portrayed at the manual, not really experience.
The arrogance bit was also part of it: being good at everything he can possibly be, the only thing left is to risk your life with some crazy stuff, and care only for yourself. Not Kurono's case since he has a bit of skill, though his luck/survival ability is what counts for him, as well as him being a team player. Kurono has shown quite a bit of Izumi/Nishi-ness in the budha mission, for instance. Still, he didn't have Izumi's or Nishi's composure.
As for the personality development, Nishi and Kurono being alike is a good one, but I think Kurono and Izumi's circumstances differ immensily, even if the outcome of a cold Kurono would be similar to Izumi or NKG.
Not that any of this really matters since it's conjecture '

Anyhow, I'll explain my "but", it wasn't about them being alike as the product, but the difference in motivation, which makes me disagree about the obviousness of Kurono being more similar to Izumi.

I believe that if Kurono hadn't seen the other Hunters around him falling in such a cruel Fashion during the Buddha Arc, he would share that special Friendship between twisted People with Nishi and Izumi.
