G is much faster, like Gzers. And we talk a lot 'bout Gantz and Gantzers. But whatever.
Thank you, shinigami, for "patronising" me. But you lost the whole point.
"Well, the most obvious thing is that you are arguing over what you 'think' could happen. There's nothing but wishful thinking to back your arguments, and just shotgunning possibilities against the off-chance that one of them will come true doesn't cut it, either."
No, I'm arguing over what I "think" could NOT happen: Gantz cannot conquer the world with Gantzers alone. And I give arguments based on common knowledge, and by this I'm not talking I'm all-powerful-and-have-the-truth-at-my-hands, but that I use simple lines: "to conquer, Gantz would need an army", "Gantzers, as tools, and as such they cannot be an army", "Gantz can't have an army for he doesn't even try to", so "Gantz couldn't control the world the 'normal way'".
But you are right 'bout attrition war, Gantzers could be useful in "attrition war", just "print-them and bomb-them".
Cali: the way you don't agree with 1, 2 and 3, is much like mine. I also don't believe or would like those to become true. Even if the third is pretty much interesting.
Just to point out, to clarify: "3. That possibility gives off the impression you're stating the aliens and Gantz are working alongside each other, well, it suffice to say I personally disagree.", just change "aliens" with the Overlord of your choice. Like "Gantz creators" even if they are humans.
If the gantzers went against the humans (in a hypotethical situation) I think they would have the upper hand, considering the evidence of the gantzers being able to beat the aliens in situations in which the army and polie fail.
^^Gantz creators, regardless of being human - they are, for crying out loud - would certainly be working alongside Gantz, you know ¬¬'
As for the other points, I think Gantz really could conquer the world with Gantzers alone, but I don't think he will. Also, when you use the word "army", you're ignoring a simpler meaning http://thefreedictionary.com/army it doesn't really need to be people organized following a certain ideology, they can just be organized with a set goal, just like the missions. Considering there are Gantz balls all over the world, the number of recruited people, imo, gives us the liberty to refer to them as an army.
The thing is, being as powerful as Gantz is, I don't think it'd resort to any such scheme. I think it'd have in mind something a bit more sick, like pitying humans against humans, just for the heck of it, but that's my own personal inclination to what I'd like Gantz to be anyway.
^^^Sadly, You missed the whole point of my post, as well. You are "Still" arguing over what you "think" gantz is, without using gantz "facts" to back up your arguments. You've probably used a lot of conjecture to get where you are, but that's just conjecture. My point was that when your arguments are backed by conjecture, and not "facts" as presented by the manga, there is no factual grounding for it. Therefore, it's a "take it or leave it post". However, if it's backed by way too much conjecture, then someone is very likely to pop and point that everything you've put forward is unlikely. If you answer that by "justifying" your conjecture as being "simple" and "natural" that still conjecture nonetheless.
Going for you arguments that gantz is trying to raise an army, you could, for example, have said that "gantz balls have been known to work together", "They are sentient", "They are seeking stronger people", "They have a iron grip over their members viz the bombs" "The factory indicates gantz has been sent all over the world". That would have made your argument that much stronger.
However, there is nothing of yet to indicate that gantz is trying to raise a formal army. It's just conjecturing on the facts. I.e. the factory seems to indicate gantz is all over the place, and with ~10-15 members per team and ~10000 - 100000 black black balls all over the world, gantz would have a small army. However, the factory does not prove that there are over 10000 black balls over the world. Just that there could be. At any rate, despite these flaws, there is still a strong argument for gantz trying to raise an army.
However, i can think of NOTHING we've seen so far that indicates that it's for the purposes of world domination. Gantzers have been killing aliens, and gantz doesn't seem to care about how its done in mission, as long as it's done. The Tae alien mission indicates Gantz is not above killing humans to further it's purpose, but moving from there to say that gantzers could be used to assasinate key figures of human society is a quantum leap. They "could", no doubt, but there is nothing that points in that direction so far.
Now as for gantz being in league with aliens, gantz being "possibly" alien technology, and therefore, if gantz was alien technology, it would naturally be in league with aliens, again, that's a step that short of a fact to substantiate it.
On using G as an abbreviation: G is too close to G-Spot and G-String for me to endorse it as an abreviation for gantz... at any rate, gantz is just five letters...
Well, the number of recruited people can vary from 8 to 30 (as seen in the Osakan room).
We know there are at least 6 balls active in the whole world, plus around 90 in the factory... So we would have possibly 800 to 3000 people recruited. That's a good number.
As for the world domination theory, well, to being with I hoped Gantz wouldn't be man-made, but now that that's been proved, it takes away a bit of the "romantism" of the mystery. Still, I hope it won't end up with such classical scenario.
