^ I believe Shin's point wasn't about Kurono being able or unable to talk, it was about the nature of his interest in Tae. So it's not like "Kurono just does not know how to ask properly", it's about why would he so promptly accept someone in which he had no interest at all - didn't even know she existed - before the bet.
Kurono doesn't work well socially, sure, but to think that he's unable to express himself at all times is a misconception in my opinion. Especially because we weren't show what kind of dialogue went on between them for it to develop into sex. And since Tae had the hots for Kurono, regardless of how well he expressed himself, surely it'd seem good to her (let's consider this as an assumption on Tae's naive character).
"...his development would turn Nishi on the spot."
I don't really agree, no. For starters, Kurono is much more "alienated" than Nishi, only less sick. Nishi cared for his mother. Kurono cared for nothing, not family, not friends. That only changed with Katou and Kishimoto and later Tae and the team. Also, Nishi knows how to talk. And the sexual factor on Kurono should also distinguish him from Nishi.
Kurono could get to resemble our camper midleschooler, though, but I think that would need way more than just a rejection from someone he didn't even like in the least at that time. (and yup, I'm assuming Kurono's reason to be what I've argued with Shin about previously)
