Sigh... that said, i don't like live action - good live action is bad, at best... but that's just me..

If you want to discuss live action in general, here's where you should go - we've already covered a lot of ground there. You also get to vote - yes won by a fairly large margin, if memory serves...

Do you think GANTZ could work as a live action movie?

On the anime - If you generally agree/disagree with cali on the anime issue, here's where you should go. Again, lots of ground already covered there. That said, on the anime, considering how Hajime no Ippo is now continuing after so many years, we might be looking at a gantz remake/continuation pretty soon... for the love of god (or gantz, if you don't believe in god) make your post on the anime issue there, not here.

^I do recall, however, that concerning movie possibilities, you had this very nice idea about approaching Gantz from a different perspective, an outsider's perspective, such as Kikuchi's. That was pretty neat. Though a live action is not necessarily a movie, so if they would make a series out of it, I guess it'd suck (since even the anime was... you know)

Disagree. From looking at the videos up, it looks ok. Not awesome, but still, its better than no Gantz.

Still, from the room to an actual mission is a large step, there's the aliens and all. I think it'd recquire quite a bit of "magic" for a live action to properly work. I don't think it's impossible though.
As for what's fan done so far by that guy, well, overral is almost good, and that girl... (smiling Cali)

Doesnt the Kurono guy look like the guy from the live-action pictures of the planned live-action film from that old poster? He had the guy in a made-up PVC Gantz Suit, so if it's the same people and theres more vids, then we may see the Suits anyway.
